As some know, i have morphed nicks on CM before. i just get to feeling my nick no longer suits me, and shed it and re-make a new one, with a new profile. Mine are usually intended to convey feminity, playfulness and the Power of Pink, LOL. On the other hand, i receive email from Men who may have chosen Their nicks whilst drinking tequila. "CumtoMeServeMeNow" type nicks, along with "MasteroftheUniverse" ones. i cannot help wondering who is the target audience for such nicks? How did You choose your nick? What does it mean to you? Is it just a "handle" to use to open an account on CM, or does it carry some significance for you? i'll be very interested in the replies...may even change my nick again, LOL. candystripper

I had a subfr name that I run a BDSM group with. Since Doug and I have been together for year's now I'd like to kill off that name. When I came to cm I wanted something other than that nick. I've protected newbies for many year's now as well. As well as education....and I've played with quite a few abuser's as revenge. So, in essence a sub can hire me to get their sweet revenge. Of course it has to be proven first. I just love the eye for an eye attitude.

Laughing my a** off....a dear friend pointed out to me that girls in pink-striped uniforms in hospitals are "candystripers", not "candystrippers". i think i like my new nick even better now, he he. candystripper

I have been using Emerald universally for several years now. It is my favorite color, it's elegant and simple. I changed names here recently to reflect major changes in my life. I felt the "slave" in my name limited perception of myself as I was much broader than that in a bdsm type way. As well, as many know I am a huge Firefly/Serenity fan and in the movie they made a few references to "albatross" in that. It resonated within me and so I moved it to be my new name. I also love the irony as so many view an albatross as something unlucky.

My nick is from, where else, a Bowie song. Surprise! I took my nick from the chorus of the song "Velvet Goldmine", on the 2nd disc of the 30th anniversary Ziggy Stardust. "Velvet goldmine you stroke me like the rain. Snake it, take it, panther princess. You must stay, Velvet goldmine, naked on your chain. I'll be your King Volcano. Writhe for you again and again."

I thought it sounded really really nifty in HS. I went through a LOT of nic's in highschool though I was Nimue (which I still like, but is taken a lot of places) Yesterdaysstar and LittleLostAngel for a long time too. This one I've kept 'cause eveyrone has me on it and I'm too lazy to change.

Mine's the last part of my first name and the year I was born. It started out as a name used by Master's grandchildren, as my real name is hard for small kids to say, so I am "Nanny Rayne" to them. Gradually I have extended its usage on other sites over the past year. Lately Master has begun calling me Rayne too [:D] I like it, I've never had a proper nickname before!

Passion is a nick that I have had for many years. Passion can be both sensual & cruel. I dropped the i & e from Mistress as a variation of Miss, Mrs, Ms & came up with Mstrss.

In the very early days of BBS & IRC, I was simply angel. This was in no kink context. Then, as angel is such a common name, I started having to find alternatives. One was angelik or angelika and even krimsonangelika. But when it came to this site, I decided to pop a little "Lady" in front of it. Often times, I thought of changing my nick to something that reflected me more. Like for example, using something in French. Mademoiselle something or other. But then, I know that everyone here already knows me as LA and/or LadyA and so why change a good thing? In any case, LA in french is the feminine definite article. I guess I found it so funny when I spoke with people and they called me "ellay" as I was signing off "La", like the note. - LA

I didn't try to find something catchy because I didn't think I'd visit this website often, and I use other nicknames on other forums but I don't to make an obvious link between my different sides.

Mine is for the place I live (Kansas City, Missouri) and Lucky, because I'm not lucky at all, but I'd like to be. Other names I've had are Luv_to_sing (self explanatory), and Lydia_unknown, because Lydia is a name I've loved and wanted since I was a little girl (My real name is Mary), and the unknown part is because that's how I felt then.

I didnt choose mine. Mine was given to my by a bunch of punker friends who said I was too nice for my own good. After a while, I decided I liked the name better then my real name and shortly after, I found the bdsm world and it became the name Im known by. lol Of course, it all depends on the right social circles. In some places Im known as vodka Dan also.
