How did You choose your nick? What does it mean to you? Is it just a "handle" to use to open an account on CM, or does it carry some significance for you?

My long standing name has been red feline. I shortened it when I came here. I choose it because I love and collect Siberian tigers. But wanted something more original then "tiger". Which was a very common "nick" back then.

Take care, feline

When i first joined the internet i used the nickname jewel and described myself as multi-faceted...when i started talking to Master seriously about us coming together real life he had me change it to my rl name.

One of my 4 personal rules (for myself) is that I don't waste my time talking to those who aren't listening....

Within my personal relationships, including my past vanilla life, if I felt my partner wasn't paying proper attention when I was speaking to her, I'd stop mid-sentence and snap my fingers or something and tell her to "Focus!" or "Focus girl!" etc - which was her cue to look me in the eyes....

Obviously it works much better within a D/s context and it's what came to mind when I joined my first site where a nic was required.... Wasn't too happy about having to add a number after it when I joined CM and, after choosing my age, was even less thrilled to discover you can't edit your nic here to accomodate birthdays...! Since I've yet to come across the person who does have the straight "Focus" nic on site, I now sign off my posts without my age on the end....

Focus.

My name has a very significant meaning to me. My grandmother died a year and a half before I was born. My mother missed her so much she insisted on naming with the initials Jeanette Lynn Cidella and then my last name. I've never had much attention from grandmothers, the other one's kind of well a bitch. My great grandmother died while I was young and I've always felt very close to my grandmother even though she passed away. (Ok so she was a butch lesbian who could take on any guy at the bar what woman would not admire that one?) However I dropped out the L, popped a Lady in front and here I am Lady JC. So it's very special and quite sentimental to me.

I've been using the same nick online for ... sweet black jesus! ... well over ten years now.

Razor = I used to wear a x-acto blade as an earring back in the late 80s and most of the 90s.  I also have an obscene collection of FUNCTIONAL blades (not the crap fantasy blades that would get you killed if you tried to use them in combat).  SO Razor seemed appropo.

JAK = My initials and the shortened form of my first name (I see no reason to put a c in there since there's no c in my name to begin with.)

Simple,  boring perhaps.  But at least I know anything dealing with RazorJAK online usually refers to me or a french CGI artist.  ;-)

I've been Lady Seraphina since I started playing professionally - but I had no idea there was a saint until people started to point it out to me. I simply put "Lady" in front of "Seraphina" since Seraphina means angellic.

I picked mine because it is original and mysterious and for a funny reason as well. Master for being Dominant...."Kalif" a bad written version of Caliph, which is a noble title used in the Ottoman Empire (Im not Turkish by the way)...and because in my country the slang for "horny" is "kalifa" (from the proper Spanish "caliente" or being hot as in horny). So it was a play of words...
