ORIGINAL: colouredin Now this post was sparked by a few things here mostly a person specifying who they wanted to respond to the topic and it causing problems. So heres my question surely there are issues that only really relate to certain people the people who have actual experiance of it, why then often are we compelled to give an opinion ourselves when we learn by doing? I know opinions are valid and no ones is better really just that if someone asks specific advice how can you advise when you have no experaince. There are many times a thread is started where someone will pipe up and say.. "I would like to see those answers, too!" An OP is simply a public thread starter. It would be fairly arrogant to believe they were the only one who might have that particular question. Others may appreciate a more diverse viewpoint. I have often started threads seeking the opinion of a particular orientation. That said, I have never shut out the possibilities that there are others who may like a broader viewpoint, so I invite those views even if I don't read them myself. If there are opinions that a particular OP doesn't care to view, they are free to skip those posts. Problem solved. To beat an OP up about it doesn't seem productive either though. They are entitled to their wants .. they just not entitled to get them. ::chuckles:: One last thing. Sometimes having no experience brings up the most interesting questions that will cause an OP to pause and go .. hmm.. that question makes me reconsider X stance. Of course, this is all just my opinion!
