Which is why I suggested,"trying it out himself."

Nothing like pissing blood for a week to teach you not to take this shit for granted.

But see Leatherist your suggestion is the extreme end which we all know IS bad.
My questions didn't ask if you hit 'em hard enough can you cause damage now was it. It asked you if you believe it's a no go zone EVER.
If you want to hang in the extreme end of things then there's not much to discuss with you on this topic as you can't see the opposite end of extreme kidney punches. But some how I don't think you are of that extreme only mindset now are you?

so...if you decide that the kidney area is NOT a "no go zone"...how hard is TOO hard?
Hmmmm?

And should the sub find themselves with a bladder full of blood within a few hours you are going to say... what? "Oops...sorry...sure hope you don't have an allergic reaction to the IVP dye?"

If you get hit hard in the kidneys sweet one, you are likely to be really pissing blood too.. It should scare the piss out of you or any sensible person..

OK not as a matter of advocating SM on theKidneys, but in the interest of keeping folks alive and out of jail, IF IF IF you insist on playing tat way PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, get a Sports Medicine Doctor who handles Martial Arts fighters, boxers etc on your speed dial. They have experience dealing with those types of injuries.

Oh and don't tell them you are one of us we don't need the bad press. LOL

This topic has run it's course for me.
I know the answers and I know who I am and what I do. Those involved know as well.
If you can't have a discussion without making assumptions about a person you don't even know, then in my humble opinion you're only hurting the community you say you support and love and scaring away people from asking the really tough questions when they may be concerned for ones safety.
Sincerely,
M

Whining and guilt trips won't make it better.

We all know the answers. To recap, they are:

Thou shalt not hit the kidneys
Thou shalt not fuck up the kidneys
If through thine own idiocy thee fucks up the kidneys, thou shalt not admit to being part of this lifestyle, to save the rest of us from thine own embarrassment.

Ok ok ok, I was there, I wasn't the hand behind the whip or the ass in front of it, but I saw what happened and I spoke to the DM (with whom I am somewhat close) later that evening.  The story is this:  The "kidney shots" were not kidney shots at all, and the DM saw no reason to stop the scene.  I've watched Midnight play, and not only have I never seen him do anything close to unsafe, I've always felt he's a very good top with a lot of skills.  He's not some asshole out there wailing on people in sensitive areas.  I believe his question was just a hypothetical.  He didn't hit her kidneys, and no one is peeing blood here, people.
Sheesh.

sirsholly -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 3:10:46 PM)

Sheesh right back at ya, toots. His posts said nothing about making it LOOK as if he was hitting the kidney area.

If you bother to read his op he states "it is pretty well known to not hit someone in the kidneys. But do you agree with this as a must never do or is there a way to do this without hurting anyone?"

THAT is what those on this thread responded to.

dekasparadise -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 3:16:03 PM)

Aw, you called me toots.  LOL.  I love that.
I was not attacking anyone - just trying to set the record of what actually happened straight.  :)
I'm like a guard dog sub - I jump to the defense of people I like.  And I like Midnight.

persephonee -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 3:21:06 PM)

and we love our Rottie sub too....welcome to the boards babygirl.

dekasparadise -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 3:22:42 PM)

LOL thanks honey.  But for you, I'm more like an attack dog.  ;)

LOL .... I was just sayin... he's a good guy.

IronBear -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 4:10:04 PM)

Not sure how anyone coulf have made the mistake that Midnight was saying that he did kidney shots.. All I saw was foirst an acknowledgement that kidney shots are a no go and asked who agreed and if there was a way if they could be done safely.. For my part, I find this OP and the responces jolly good especially for new folk to read and follow. it would have to reinforce what they may or may not have been told.. I like questions like this here it makes the caffine soaked brain cell come to life, chase the missing brain cell from the ass or big toe and start thinking......

GreedyTop -> RE: The Kidneys (6/17/2008 4:16:07 PM)

My first thought when reading the OP was "Holy shit,is he SERIOUS??"... but later, I realized that he had not said that he DOES this..
He could have, perhaps, phrased the OP differently, but I agree with IronBear.. there have been some good replies.

True, Midnight did not say he personally did kidney shots. However, he did suggest several times that the categorical "no kidney shots" was not a wise idea. Specifically, he said:

quote:

But it's a pretty hard cold fact the more you tell people NEVER to do something some idiot's going to do it just to be contrary. It just seems to me a better idea to say not a good idead, but if you do you have to be damn careful and light, do you not agree?

That's where he and I part company. There are some things that should be stated in the categorical, and this is one of them.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply Wyld. im off to work.

Anytime. BTW, I only replied to the parts of the thread that concerned the original question (as did many). IMO, few thought that the OP was actually taking kidney shots, but were simply posting their opinions of "playing" in that area- as requested in the original post. No need to defend something that never happened.
