Wow, what a GREAT thread! Like several others who posted here, I find most fetish wear so silly-looking that it detracts from the atmosphere, rather than enhancing it. To me, it emhasizes artificiality, whereas I thrive on realism. Exceptions abound, of course; some women look awesome in fetish gear, as long as it's not overdone. I'm also another know-it-all, and have trouble holding my tongue when I disagree with something. It's not an ego thing, it's about making thing right. I really do have a lot of knowledge about a lot of things, hate leaving misconceptions going unchallenged. The classic "eyes downward" submissive posture doesn't do it for me. It makes me feel angry rather than submissive. I think this is more about upbringing than anything else. As a child, it was considered DISRESPECTFUL to NOT keep eye contact with an authority figure who was talking to me. If I was angry, I would look away, and my father would always say "Look at me when I'm talking to you!"
