Oh, and as for the randomly approaching black men on the street, in the south it depends what town youre in. In my town, just a short drive from Houston if you approach a black man on the street and ask that question he will probably avert his eyes and say "Yes sir"... Doesn't make it right but thats the way it is - and those racist people form a substantial part of the democratic (classic "Southern Democrat") voting block. I would say most of the truly vocal public racists I encounter are actually working democrats, not republicans. Don't get me wrong the southern republicans are racist too but they are calling the waiter in the Desk and Derrick Club "boy", whereas the refinery workers sitting in a bar raving endlessly about anyone who isnt of white European protestant ancestry are overwhelmingly democrat.

You know, its funny that many dems can run around with bumper stickers that say "All Republicans should be lobotomized" but they get upset at jokes made at their expense. The hate speech is actually stronger from one side and I don't think its the elephants. What is sad is there are people who will see the OP one and wonder if the Rep's are responsible for all of that. the real funny thing is MOST of those things have been around through Dem's hands as well. The dems aren't gunna fix it thinking that they will is a joke and the Lib's well who knows what they would do they can't agree on what is most important to them in the first place. Steel

Ken, I actually stopped at 2 but there were quite a few links. The dems in many places are quite illmannered and rabid. Your earlier assertion that dems don't spew hate as much as their counterparts was flawed. They are *just as guilty.* To say that all on either side are saintly or that all on either side are rabid assholes would be completely false.
