DDlover -> It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:30:55 AM)

That most of the female Dommes on here are professionals, which sort of cuts out a persons chance of finding a Domme women on here for an LTR. Do you feel that is an accurate statement?

Lucylastic -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:31:37 AM)

no

RumpusParable -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:33:32 AM)

No.  If you broaden your search past < 24 years old + visible picture, you'll find only about 1 or 2 professional dommes per page of results... and at least half of the pro's are also lifestyle.

Dnomyar -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:33:44 AM)

No

Wolfandkitten -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:35:17 AM)

gotta love it....she says no....but if you look at her sig line theres alink to her "store" sounds like someone is a little hypocritical maybe?

Wolfandkitten -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:37:15 AM)

as repeated by the next one....lets see...two responses from females.....two pros...... id have to say the chances are better that the answer is yes

GreedyTop -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:43:42 AM)

Lucy sells adult toys.. how does that make her a pro-dom?

I'm going with no, also.

Lucylastic -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:45:21 AM)

smiles, hypocritical, ?  I am in a long term relationship, Im not looking for anyone to have a relationship outside of friendships, I own/run a BDSM /adult toy store, I make no secret of that, I am not a prodomme, or a tribute Domme. If I were does it preclude me from answering specific types of questions?
Lucy
Edited to add a smewch for Greedy

Wolfandkitten -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:49:53 AM)

Are you using your posistion in this lifestyle as a way to make money?  Not that I am saying it is a bad thing by any means at all, in fact I find it admirable, but the fact remains you are selling "toys, clothing, maybe even services" admitedly I have not checked out the page entirly, for profit...which by all sense of the word makes you a professional.

Wolfandkitten -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:56:46 AM)

At random i just checked out 10 profiles of Dommes..............7 of them were either pros or they wanted tributes.........I'll let that answer speak for itself.

Lucylastic -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 4:58:47 AM)

Please check out the website, if you find any "services" there,  please let me know. Ive been in the "lifestyle" for 12 years, I ran a munch for four years, Ive been in a LDR  with the same person for ten years. I used to sell lingerie and adult toys  back in the early 80s. But Ive had the store now since 2001. Most of the suppliers on my site, specifically the BDSM gear are small companies with good stuff, 75% of them canadian companies.
Yes it makes me a small business owner/professions, it doesnt make me a prodomme or a tribute domme. My professional(hah) status  is not stopping the OP from meeting someone.

So anyone who has ever made any money doing anything related to BDSM or sex is a ProDom/me?

Excellent argument, and very well put. I stand corrected, and apologize for leaping to the assumption that I did. But the fact that 7 of 10 Dommes at random are pros has to say something.

RumpusParable -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 5:02:05 AM)

And let's not forget the assumption that if they have or *are* pro that they aren't also lifestyle and in or looking for a personal relationship...

MzticStormz -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 5:03:34 AM)

no. and spoiling for a fight doesn't seem the best way to attract anyone, for an LTR

By your reason of thinking, just because someone fixes a car for a living it makes them a race car driver..

Perhaps if you considered knocking that chip off your shoulder you would have more luck with a wider range of people.

I suppose that would have to depend on exactly what they did to make the money now would't it?

katie978 -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 5:05:50 AM)

Ah, the weekly "Waaaah, life as a malesub is so terrible: no one has sent me a message!!" thread. There are many pro-dommes. I'm not sure whether the majority of dommes are professionals: certainly there's a higher percentage of pro-dommes than pro-any other type of BDSMer. Logic tells me no, however, and at the few "BDSM" community events I've been to, I didn't meet anyone who was glaringly pro-domme (though admittedly, I did not ask every woman).

However, as I usually tell the whiny malesub of the week: bitterness is not an attractive quality. You aren't entitled entitled to a fantasy dominatrix to submit to all your fantasies. However, it seems that you do have a solid profile, and many good qualities. Someone will come along eventually.

And...wait...when did selling sex toys become the same as being a professional dominatrix? Next thing you'll be telling us is that every domme is professional...you assume they are, don't bother to check your facts, and don't bother listening when they tell you they aren't.

faerytattoodgirl -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 5:08:55 AM)

that will be $50 for posting a new thread...pay up... [8|]

just as there are that many pro's there are just as many wankers...er..whiners... [8|]

Wolfandkitten -> RE: It seems............ (6/18/2008 5:11:23 AM)

Im not saying that being a pro is a bad thing. Im not even saying the pros are keeping the OP from finding someone......all I am doing is answering the question of are there more pros than not here...and I have to say that the answer is yes. If the OP truly wants to meet someone then they shouldnt let things like being a pro get in your way......example.... I met a hairstylist once she worked in a pro salon type place and cut my hair several times.....but I never paid for it.  I know shitty example but I think you get the point.

Wolf and Kitten ......Thankyou, Altho not needed, I appreciate the apology.

To TNstep, I have actually been accused of being a whore, for selling sexually related items, but I have little respect for that person anyway, so it was water off a ducks back. Plus Ive been called a lot worse and for more reason :)

Even prodommes  have relationships (gasp)
Lucy
