This is a hypothetical situation.
Financial, employment, and housing arrangements are completely taken care of.

So, where would you rather live, and why?

I have always wanted to live in Alaska,
where you can build your own home in the middle of the wilderness and the nearest neighbor could be so far away you wouldn't even hear them shooting a few rounds of a shotgun on a clear day.

How about ya'll?

(I am anxious to read some of the responses...)

I've always wanted to own a remote compound in South America and live there.

For something a bit closer to reality I choose an upscale condo in Austin Tx.

Monterey California.  i was stationed there for about a year, it was always like spring there, near the ocean, relaxing scenery, and great food.

Well....I would like THREE homes, in the Ideal Universe....  Manhattan, Miami Beach, and London.  If I have to pick one, Miami wins!  It's my "home" in my mind.

Miami Beach is a great place.  I love it here. I would pick Miami Beach six months out of the year, and Carmel, CA for the other six.

With Mistress, on the beach in either Hawaii or Australia, sipping margaritas and fuzzy navels, and a nice red-headed cabana girl catering to our every whim!  ***mmmmm...breathy sighs***

Hey, I may be the slave, but I still need to relax, too....dammit!

Pretty happy where I am, by the beach in southern California. Walk on the sand every day. But I have been contemplating a move to France for a few months. That or Texas. Want to learn a new language.

Hey fluffy, I was going to say you should move to Woodstock, NY. Good yarn store and very liberal. But alas the climate isn't moderate and public transportation doesn't exist.

i've been wanting to move for a few years now.  in a few months i'll be moving to MD.  i've only ever lived in the west so i'm excited to see the east coast and be closer to the ocean.  if i could live anywhere it would be somewhere with 4 seasons, on about 20 acres of land so i could have my veggie and herb gardens and a small orchard of whatever fruit trees will grow there, and lavender fields and flower gardens.  i'd have a few dogs and some cats that could roam free and have a good life there.  that would be my job, i'd be his submissive gardner, i'd tend to Him, the house and the land.   i'd be in pure heaven.  (oh, and if this could overlook the ocean that would be a plus too lol)

I know of a good yarn store but our town is not exactly liberal.  Thats why I didn't open an occult shop or a similarly wicked place.

And, I am living right where I want to be. I wouldn't mind upgrading my housing and adding some fencing though.

We live fulltime on a boat and, to us, its our perfect place to be.
If it wasnt for having to work we would love to just pull up the anchor and go. Us two  and the black dog!

A chalet with acreage in the mountains some  where, in country with a liberal open minded society. I don't know if it exists but it would be heavenly to me.
