I really don't receive many messages on here, so when I see the "new messages" notification it's kind of exciting. But this one felt like something else was up.. I received a message "do u have webcam slave?" ... Ok we never talked before so the use of slave, not consensual, but I didn't mind much. I explained I don't, and don't really like the idea of live web cams, but explained a former play partner and I had a lot of fun with still photography before we met r/t. I also asked if she would like to chat some more. So I get this message back... "send me more picts of u" that was it. So I had a choice to make, do I send this phantom person a bunch of (miss spelled) pictures or find out more? Well I made the decision to inquire more about her (assume her, who knows), mind you this person had a completely blank profile, and no photo... and strangely short messages. I stated very nicely, I would love too, but could I find out a little more about you first? Interests, experiences and such, seemed reasonable. Well at that point communication was cut off.. no more messages. So I either saved my self from a scam.. or just offend someone and ruined a potentially good thing. My question to the group is, was it the right move? Or is this a new scam?

No one has to right to demand anything of you until you belong to them or are moving towards that. Just ignore or block those assholes that do. Mike

I agree with the listed above, you don't see a pic of them, no conversation, eh....not worth it. You'll find much better.

You were correct! After a while you get a feeling for the type of person you are talking to. I think you were either talking to a dirty old man, or someone who collects dirty pics, and/or cams and sells them. Plus, why play with someone who doesn't come to you with respect in the first place?

Yes yes yes yes,,, you made the right call. Hey but on the other hand.... some porn site just lost some free pictures they could have made some money off of.. you are harming he economy by not sending naked pics to some nameless, faceless message on the Internet.. come on now.. how can we get into recovery if you don't help out?

There's really no way to know. The odds that it was a good thing were slim, so I doubt you missed much.

People who come off as stupid assholes online tend to be stupid assholes in real life. Certainly, there are exceptions (where in BDSM is there a rule without exceptions?), but chance is good that person sucked at life.

Quit second guessing yourself..that is a sure fired way for you to eventually ignore that inner voice that tells you "caution"...and find yourself in a situation you wished you had not entered into...I can understand the excitement of a new message, when the in box is generally silent...but do not let desperation or impatience lead you astray.....IMO..I would not of sent the pictures either....Tempting

People are people, inside and outside of D/s. They are not magically better because they join CollarMe, select a D-type orientation and start sending email. Would you give photos of yourself to any perfect stranger? If not, then why give them to a D-type you know nothing about (apart from the vile misuse of the English language)? Aw, honey, if you really have to ask, I'm worried about you! I just checked out your profile, and you are clearly a nice guy looking for a nice, healthy relationship. (Also, your pic is very clever, bonus points to you for that one.) Don't even think about settling for less than you deserve, okay? I know it's hard, but there are plenty of real women out there, speaking in full, clear sentences, who would be MUCH wiser for you to be interacting with.
