have any of you experienced an absolute sense of peace of mind in the release of vanilla mindsets w/ regards to the letting go of old pains caused by vanilla relationships?

i find this going on in my life w/ certain situations that i always said ,oh that's not for me.....lol, well guess what, some of those 'soft limits' can get pushed by a caring Dom when one is open and ready.

Do you Masters/Doms feel a sense of pride when your subs/slaves overcome some of their past mindsets from the old lifestyle? Is it as exhilarating for ya'll as it is the sub/

Do you subs/slaves feel a sense of freedom and relief when you realize that you don't think the same way as you used to? Are you eager to explore and experience even more?

Ya'll does this freedom/experience bring a peace of mind to you also?

Hi Fyeredsub. I think I know what your talking about. I do feel so much relief, when I use to do sessions with MADAM. It was so peaceful, even while getting hit with the Riding cope or Tied, Gagged and Blindfolded. I was at peace, and loved every minute of it. I could LET LOOSE, and not worry about a thing....MADAM was taking all that away from me.

Miss it much, BalletBob

Yes when a sub or any partner of mine overcomes a bad mindset and i help i feel pride. But no peace of mind becuase then i know they are going to cut and run. Just as soon as i have helped make their lot better they realise they no longer need me and leave without even aknowledging it.

In my past i've had men claiming to be Dom's..Mistresses who were cruel...and men just plain mean to me in the end who abused me not only physicaly but mentaly...When i met Master i was a wounded bird who didnt think she'd ever fly again...Once Master took me under his wing and guided me and pushed me and taught me ..i finaly let go and since then i do feel more at ease....i have no worries....no regrets....or resentment......i'm finaly free to be the best i can be which makes me free in my own mind......i've taken from my past and learned and grew and now i have the Master i've always wanted....one who is firm yet still has compassion in his heart....When he wants to try something i am eager to please him ,not because he makes me want to but with him...I'M FREE,EVEN MORE THEN ANY FREE WOMAN CAN BE! If i ever died because of something he had me do(which wont happen) i'd die knowing i died being true to myself and doing what i was born to do.....

No I have not. But being upfront and telling you or anyone I am what I am means I don't need to have a long, fucked-up, beat around the bush and confusing discussion about what I want.

The rest of the disquieting shit still exists........

Still today, I have issuses as we all do. But at least I don't have to have space-time issues with that specifically.

I know it don't make alotta sense, but it is heartfelt, by god.

thanks bella,
you hit the nail right on the head w/ what i was trying to express.

i guess in some ways i feel like i am shedding my old skin(outlook on some painful experiences) for a newer more postive one and those things just don't bother me as much as they used to.

for now i realize they can't hurt me anymore and that is liberating in itself.

the past finally has its resting place and i can live on and be free to be myself and experience more than i ever thought possible and it was accomplished through the trust and caring of the one helping me.

pushing limits is not as scary as i thought it would be and i look foward to the continued growth.

I think that with the right partner, lifestyle or vanilla, overcoming past "hurts" is something that will always come. I like to believe that most of us learn to accept ourselves for who we are and not "pretend" otherwise as we mature. A caring partner, whether they are kinky or not helps us to get past the things that went wrong in the past and our "blocks" about what we will or will not do in a relationship.

I'd like to think that it wasn't D/s that made me more confident in myself, more capable, and less fragile. I'd say that it was my relationship with my partner that led me to the place I'm in now, regardless of my submission or my partner's dominance. We just happen to work. We suit each other. We find confidence and happiness in each other. It isn't D/s or vanilla or anything. It's just us, as people who love each other.

Boy, isn't that mushy? lol

Greetings fyreredsub,

I have to say that I felt a great deal of satisfaction when I help bella to over come her fears and resentment.....she was a dull rock when I found her and now she is a bright and shiny jewel I polished. she has become a valuable piece of property to me and this wasnt an easy task for the both of us but through compassion and understanding she was able to overcome many of her insecurities.

A lot of the same pains exist in Ds and Ms relationships.

I find peace in being myself.

After the annoying/hard/angrying/frustrating bits, yeah it's awesome.

It's also no different than what a vanilla person goes through when they discover and enlighten themselves.

Ron,

wonderful to see this song quoted here. A alltime favourite of mine, concerning
music and text.

From what I have learned so far, I find that I truly enjoy Kinky Tushing big time. The old ways are nice, but I do love exploring my Kinky Side & finding what else there is to being kinky that I may also enjoy as well.

I am on the verge of another trip to be with my Domina
though the holidays at least, although my returning is open ended.

I am very eager to get there and learn and explore, grow, try new things*W*.
I do feel a great sense
of freedom and safety as soon as she arrives to take me
back with her. We travel back and forth by car, it is about
a 6 hour drive, which we take advantage of to have in-depth
meaningful communication(and a lot of funning and laughs)I am
very much at peace as we hit the road.

Coming back is a different story....But in Spring I may be going
back to Chi-Town and MsN to settle in and live!
Yes, that gives me a deep sense of peace of mind.
