Well that is just silly. Microsoft is an extreme believer in overkill. There are temp files all over your system if you use a PC. As for the cache, I can tell you I have cleaned peoples computers out and found they have 10G of crap hidden in their IE alone. And that doesn't even count the stuff in Mozilla, AOL or the normal temps. One guys system was so full of crap it held 30G of temps. OP Go and find a free copy of CCLEANER from filehippo. Clean out your temps. I use IE and have never had issues with speed on my very old system. You might also want to check out spyware issues that might slow you down. Try Malwarebytes to remove pesky bugs. Good luck, Kyst quote:
ORIGINAL: Termyn8or Clearing the cache is overrated. Don't bother. It is a throwback from when people had 300 MB harddrives. BTW, you know you can't clear the cache anyway, and you can prove it right now. Say you got it set to 300MB, well take it down to zero. Reboot. Then take it back up to 300MB, all the files are back. Been there done that. They are never gone. Bear that in mind. T
