Status: offline 		Greetings, one and all.  Before this degenerates into a confused public conversation, I have a few words:

It is well known that from the beginning, dominance must be established through regular, firm, unconditional assertion.  Establish your dominance through the words you speak, and the manner in which you speak them.  Understand, as well, that the orders you give can only be complied with in direct proportion to the care with which they are issued.  Use body language to make it clear that you are like a stone; unfeeling, unmoving, and one not to be bargained with.

As your lessons begin to sink in, you will witness some maturity as a result of your efforts.  Do not become content at this point.  Maintain order!  Even as you improve your ability to issue orders, others will improve their abilities to skirt around them.  Do not let this happen; it will undermine the whole process!

Finally, when you have taught all that you can, those with whom you have given your greatest energies will be driven, nonetheless, to move on.  This is inevitable.  Accept this change of order as a natural consequence for all your hard work.  They are your responsibility!  You can only get from them what you put into them!  This will be apparent not only to yourself, but others, and comments back on the efforts you put forth.

With our inspirational speech of the week, I'd like to open the floor to the rest of the council members of the PTA.

With this care has to come the knowledge that the submissive has clearly understood the order.  Even a command as simple as "strip" should be explained to a new sub.  Fast or slow?  Take the time to fold the clothes neatly?  Give a command like "please me" and it may leave someone unfamiliar with your ways in a complete tizzy. 

I also noticed that understanding was left out.  I start my sessions with a full body inspection.  Besides being humbling and getting the sub in the right state of mind this lets me look for any bruises, other skin discolorations or cuts, and I ask about their health.  I would not expect the same service from someone recovering from the flu or with a sore joint as I would from someone feeling bouncy and completely healthy. 

It is often the subtleties that make the difference between a good Dominant and someone who simply enjoys dominating.  Always appearing severe may appeal to some, while others tend to give their all when honest compliments and signs of thanks are sprinkled throughout.  People are too distinctive for many hard and fast rules to be set.  That's where imagination and empathy can be some of the most important traits of a Dom/me.
