Here is the proof I have to offer that supports my theory:
1) The popularity of short surf boards. Look folks, from below, a surfer on a short board looks a whole hell of a lot like a big fat juicy seal...
Hence big fish with lots of teeth comes up for a taste.
GO BACK TO THE LONG BOARD YOU FOOLS
2) The construction of housing developments in the hunting range of large predators.
Look people, if you gonna move into an area claimed as hunting territory of cougers etc, you DESERVE to be in the food chain. You do not have the right to complain, or call for emergency help should you or anyone else be attacked and mauled.
3) Free diving with great whites. DO I REALLY HAVE TO ADDRESS THIS?
4) Primitive Vacations.
Look you idiots, if you catch some bug that no one has ever had before, at least be nice enough to die in the boonies.
5) Freeway surfing.
Okay kids, you can surf on car roofs, the rest of the drivers have the right to see if we can cause you to wipe out at 65 mph
6) Big game hunting with single shot large caliber target pistols.
Look, if you wish to hunt that way, fine, but do it without some guy backing you up with a repeating rifle.

Is it possible that the examples you offer are simply humans self-Darwinizing, in an effort to alleviate the over-crowding Mother Earth is currently experinecing? The undertone of life perhaps resonating sympathetically along a harmonic dissonance sufficient to make them WANT to be taken from the gene-pool...

I say we ENCOURAGE these behavior-types in MORE people in western civilization.

They vote for candidates,even though it only means a choice between bad and worse-when we should all just write in "micky mouse" instead.

You may have a point.
What really pisses me off is that when someone gets mauled by a predator that had free run of the area prior to the construction of a few hundred houses, the predator is what pays the price for man's stupidity.

If, these animal control people would look at small communities that are in prime large predator habitat, it is rare that a human is hit. It is only when the habitat's ecological and natural balance is upset.

There fore, I submit that the predator is not at fault, and should not be hunted and disposed of, let the fools who buy the houses pay the price.
