I'd lock her in the closet and go out binge drinking.

Ok, not really.

In the past when faced with this situation I have usually just tried to be understanding knowing that if a girl has been dealing with this long before I came around she probably knows what she is doing, it is her body afterall, on that token though, if I become concerned that there is somthing more serious going on, she is going to the doctor.

And if she is malingering. well ice water enemas make real cramps.

I agree with all the people telling you to go to the doctor.  Other then that, I mean what is a Dom/me suppose to do with you when you are in that much pain?  What can they do?  What youre describing, you cant even be used in any other fashion.  If you cant suck it up, which by what youre describing you cant (and I totally understand), then you cant be used.  You could have a serious medical condition, especially if you have no prior history of such horrible periods.  I say go to the doctors asap and get a pelvic and pap and have them check your tubes and your ovaries, maybe an ultrasound to see if you have cysts.  What youre describing sounds like a cyst popping.  I got those, and so does a friend and let me tell you IT HURTS LIKE A SOB!  So go get checked out to see if you have any underlying problems besides your rag time.  Plus, if it is just your period, you can actually get a mild pain med to help you if you talk to the doctor about it.  Hope you feel better :)

Rapidly approaching menopause as I am, it is not uncommon for me to spot only for a couple of months and then have the period from hell. Obviously if I'm crying from pain, it isn't that I'm being a baby or expecting special treatment for something I should have learned to deal with. Prostaglandins do build up and the longer they do, the worse it is. But he knows I don't lie about things or exaggerate to gain pity. If I'm in bad pain then he believes me, the same way he believes me when I said the foot he accidentally dropped a board on was hurting a lot, even though at that point he hadn't seen it without a sock in all it's black and blue horror.

I don't understand how this is different than any other chronic disability. Many people have trick knees that act up in bad weather, their partners understand this and accept it. Why is it that it is okay not to treat a chronic illness when it is severe PMS but not okay to not give a partner a break if their fibromyalgia (for example) is particularly bad.

i used to have the periods from hell when i had endometriosis.  wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!  had my hysterectomy about 8 yrs ago now and i have blessed that doc every day, lol.  whatever it is, please let us know, your findings might help another who suffers in silence.  i did for many years, being told it was all in my head.  no, about 3 feet lower, actually!  good luck.

I agree with the advice of going to the doctor asap. I don't think you should even suffer through two days.

When I was a lot younger, I used to have cramps for the first day and spend the day in bed. Meds did not do much for me and I did not want to take really strong ones. Later, I discovered that sex made my cramps either stop instantly or, if I had sex right when it started or before, the cramps did not happen at all. There, you got the situation where the woman needs sex for her health. All my men have understood this, but with some it took a while because none of them had been used to having sex during the woman's period. I never wanted any guy to feel overwhelmed.

Another wonderful thing is a thorough back rub. A nice massage on the lower back helps a lot. I only got PMS, being sad or crying the evening before, in my late thirties. But at that time, I had depression too... so...

After I turned 40 I discovered the same thing. Having sex will make the period cramps go away.(my horniness took over) Before, during, after, it's all good.
If you are nervous about the mess during a heavy flow, do it in the shower.
