You are indeed correct Greedy. The best way to go from Santa Monica (I dated a Monica in high school and she werent no saint) is to grab I15 north, take it over the grapevine, be advised, trucks have to stay in the far right lane and cannot exceed 35 miles per hour on that grade. At the bottem of the hill bear to the right, and head up 99 between the Euclyptus trees (they may be platypus trees for all I know)
Now, depending on the time of day, you may find that the old buck owens bar is open (I understand that they now have strippers) so that would be a nice spot to kill some time.
Continueing up CA 99 you must be aware that there are some really mean hiway patrol people, that seem to think 15 over the speed limit is a bad thing.
There used to be a couple of good bars in Medesto and Tulare, at least one good strip joint and a biker hangout. The biker hangout is the most fun.
Avoid the truckstop in Medesto at all costs, the main ingrediant in all menu items is grease.....
