While in my heart I find myself suspecting that she was a consentual partner who changed her mind - or some other details we don't have - like a couple of novices without the snese to set up a safeword (which, regardless of how 'useless' you think safewords are <i don't have are use one> they are handy for two half drunk novices who are doing a play and run on each other....)
Still, I have to point out, rape being what it is - a rapist can remove all kinds of things, the restraint can be in the form or fear or threat.
OTOH, she didn't mention that in her story, which it seems likely she would have. (you know - and then he said if i screamed or tried to get away, blahblahblah....)
Did you know that there are numerous stories over the past few decades of rapists turning and runing from intended victims who recite spirtual tomes, like Bible verses, the Lord's Prayer, or the Rosery? and also a few stories of rapists being simularly sent packing when women recite nursery rhymes....(I always figured that was women who had read about the Bible verse/Prayer thing working, but when confronted, could not remeber anything but 'Hickory Dickory Dock....')
