Termyn8or -> When I die. (7/14/2008 7:21:35 PM)

Write my epitaph. Let me know what you really think. For good or for bad.

I want to know the worst of it, the best of it and everything in between before I die. And I am going to die.

I never ever wanted to bring this up here but I have changed my mind, I have had a very rich life, but I think it will be over soon.

I am 47 and as far as I am concerned I am living on borrowed time. I may make money but I will never save any of it. I now drink constantly anytime I am awake and not at work. Yes I have a good job, but I told them no medical, no retirement no nothing, I want all my money now.

I have serious issues with my digestional tract. I can barely eat a couple of hundred calories without throwing up. I wake up naseuos in the morning, If I eat too much I throw it up.

So if something is happening that is going to be the end of me, it seems to be happening. And I am letting it happen.

Yes, I have the balls to die.

It does not scare me in the least, which brings us to the main subject.

What will be said when I am dead ?

Tell me.

T

PS, and no sympathy, I ain't giving you none, so I expect none.

That you were a functioning alcoholic until your stopped being functional. That you were incapable of loving someone or being a true friend since your true love was a bottle. That your life was wasted.

What did you think we'd do, applaud you for killing yourself slowly?

      Maybe, "Coulda, shoulda, woulda, didn't."

     No tombstone here.  Just a very select few people scattering ashes in appropriate places, by whatever ritual fits.  I might even have a 1/2 teaspoon sent to all my exes for flushing purposes.

How can anyone have the balls to die? It happens eventually whether you have the balls for it or not.

It takes balls to live, not die.

Don't know you from adam, but... at a glance it would say:

Didn't have the courage to live, so he rented out a permanent spot on at the Waiting Place.

...for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go
or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go
or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or waiting around for a Yes or a No
or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite
or waiting for wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night
or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break
or a sting of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.

Can you stand?
Do you arms work?
Have around two grand?
If you're just wasting your life there, drinking... why not set aside the bottle and hop on a plane and make whatever's left useful. There are hundred destinations where you could use the life you have left to make a positive impact. The two grand will get you almost anywhere. Dig wells in south asia, do relief work at Katrina sites (they need help now more than ever since so many other disasters have occured and taken attention away), escort the Night walkers... You can't keep food down? great... they don't have any.

Contact me on the other side. I have a thousand suggestions for a life that could use direction if you have nothing tying you down and if you dare. But I'm warning you... doing any of that stuff could seriously put the wind back into your sails.

i agree, takes balls to live, dying comes naturally.  you want to see people with balls, go to a neonatal intensive care unit and see how hard some of the tiniest babies fight to live, or a cancer care ward and watch people hold on with all they have and what those people endure to stay alive.  dying's the easy way out.

***fast reply***

I just got done watching the Simpsons Movie... one line comes to mind from the closing credits.

"I'm not really into suicide, but if you want to give it a shot, I might be entertained by watching."

When I go I just want some bagpipes, perhaps a rifle or 7, and hope that what is said is "He was a man that lived life to the fullest."

jlf1961 -> RE: When I die. (7/14/2008 10:14:50 PM)

I have always wondered about the fascination to do something with the body after death.

It is only a shell for the spirit and soul to reside in, so after death, it is nothing more than an empty shell.

Cremate me and cast me to the winds, for I am not dead, I have simply changed form.

and may the lord pity those who really pissed me off cause i am gonna haunt them until they suicide.

lilsubl -> RE: When I die. (7/14/2008 10:44:00 PM)

i always thought they should just toss the body into the desert...vultures gotta live too.....

PanthersMom -> RE: When I die. (7/14/2008 11:13:30 PM)

the grand canyon may serve a purpose eventually after all when we've used up all the good real estate for cemetaries and golf courses.

and when i die, and when i'm gone, there'll be one more child to carry on, to carry on.

or

going up to the spirit in the sky, that's where i'm gonna go when i die, when i die and they lay me to rest i'm gonna go to the place thats the best.

or

dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind nothing last forever but the earth and sky, all we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see.
