ORIGINAL: TwoDommeDivas My partner, Theresa, and I were talking about marks left in the wake of play. While we are primarily dominant, we both switch. And last Saturday at a play party, we both left with bruises and welts on our asses that remain today. When we play with a new sub, we are careful not to mark him/her, but later on we feel more free to leave reminders of our handiwork. A question came up today about philosophy. Some have said that marking a sub is low class; that the real skill is in leaving only psychological evidence of your work. We, OTOH, enjoy leaving physical evidence. And, frankly, when I use a singletail, the sub will be marked no matter what, and always understands that he/she stands a chance of having the skin broken. We LIKE marking subs. So, how do you feel about marks? What's your philosophy? As a sub, how do marks that last days or a week make you feel? As a top, do you enjoy marking, or do you try to avoid it? And why? I greatly enjoy leaving a number of parallel cane marks on a sub's ass. It is my art, temporary though it is. M. Dana Some submissives dont want marks left due to work or family, its very difficult to not leave some red marks that fade quickly. I like to mark them up with a round black and blue spot on each ass cheek. I love that they can relive the moment when seeing a mark on themselves. Branding is My favorite way to mark a totally devoted submissive.
