What is a princess? Why would a Master choose to take him a princess? What is the difference between sub/slave and a princess?  What is the role of a princess? Any information would be most helpful. I have searched the post and cant find much information on a princess. Sorry so many questions on one post.

A princess is a female who expects to be treated as a stereotypical princess of fairy tales. For instance, she may expect to be waited on hand and foot, spend lots of time on what I call "girlie maintenance" (manicures, pedicures, massages, spa days, etc.), expect to receive expensive presents on a regular basis, drives a sports car with a license plate frame that says something like "I saw it, I wanted it, I threw a fit, I got it!", etc.  The terms "vain" and "spoiled" come to mind.

Why would a man of any variety want one? Perhaps he's a secret or not-so-secret masochist.

A princess is just as it sounds: A girl of good fortune, accustomed to a lifestyle.  I'm sure there are dominants who like the sophistication and occasional disobedience of princesses.  I would assume most of these "dominants" realize that they are spending a great deal of time and effort serving said princess.

The other day My Pet and I were going to dinner.  We couldn't decide where to go.  It made clear that the responsibilities of being dominant involve serving, being a caretaker, sacrificing for the submissive.

Whatever you want to call people, master, dominant, top, keeper, its just a title.  In many ways, when My Pet became mine she took on a prince:  A man who she tries hard to please at every whim, who she follows and stays with because of his demeanor, education, virtues, etc.  I'd say wealth, but I'm a recent graduate =P.

Reverse the genders and you get reversed titles.  If she were male and I were female (Fem-Dom/Male-Sub) then "he" would be looking for a "princess."

Edit to add:

There are times when I treat mine like a princess (probably outweighed by times I treat her like a sex doll).  I'll take her to nice dinners, and bubble bathes, and brushing her hair... I'll train her, cuddle her, read children's stories to her, explore boring bookstores with her (for her), etc...  Do I consider myself serving her when I do these things?  Yes, but that's not a problem.  Would I consider myself any less dominant for serving?  Of course not - they're mutually exclusive.  I received an e-mail from a male submissive who wished to be an online houseboy .  I told him I felt as if I would be doing the work of the relationship.  In that respect, being a dominant is a lot of work, arguably more than the other side - arguably.

I have also heard of princesses as part of the D/lg relationship. Daddy is the King and the lg is his little princess. Pampered and indulged, but also with rules to follow.  I've known a great many men who refer to their minor daughters as princess. Which doesn't mean the um is the boss but that she is well loved. And the same can easily hold true in a sensual, D/lg relationship.

the difference between princess and submissive/slave?

mere words - that's all. it merely depends upon the D/s dynamic you're in.

within mine, i'm Daddy's lil girl who gets treated like princess (sometimes). other times, i'm His black bitch, pig slut, etc ...just mere words.

Like most words, it has many definitions, some deservedly derogatory.

However, I tend to treat my women like whores one minute and princesses the next, depending on my mood.  I love to get up early while my partner is still sleeping and make a french omelette and bring it to her in bed along with fresh orange juice for breakfast.  Other times breakfast is just me.   I almost always open her car door but sometimes I just bend her over the trunk.

For ME, I am not a single faceted person, there are parts of me that are refined, others that are course and I like to indulge all of them.  I prefer women who are also multi-faceted and I have met very few women who didn't get all happy and or wet being treated as a princess once in a while, just as I have rarely met one who didn't crave being a slut on occasion either.

I agree with much of what has been written here.
I can be His princess...His slut...His whore...His ponygirl (which I hate, but love to do for Him)...His mother, confessor, angel, and slave.
I can also be His helpmate, His girlfriday, and anything else He desires.
It just depends.

<---------------------- She's a Princess. Pampered and spoiled because she is worth it.

But he is also her King and she serves him and caters to his whims.

I didn't know masters took princesses. I thought princess took submissives. That's the way I have always heard it

Cinderella was a princess. I dont think she was considered vain or spoiled. I think she was just fortunate to find her prince or Master in this case. A princess is still expected to serve and obey from the way it was explained to me. I certainly dont drive a sports car and am not high maintaince. I just want to find a love like no other. I want to find that which I am not sure exist.
