Most people's first forays into "the lifestyle" online eventually take them to a place where caps and lower case are used, as well as "slashy-speak". Frankly I like the idea of making someone think before they type anything online; we actually have that option in this medium, unlike talking in real life! Yes, it can seem convoluted; yes, it might hurt a person's eyes or confound them at times. If it works for them, I say, all the power to them. At least it has structure and rules, which make more sense than some grammar rules for the English language... [/end rant on the "acceptability" of unconventional grammar] To directly answer the OP: I don't let a person's name influence what I think of them. I used to, when I was younger. What changed for me was the actual internalization of the lip service I had, up to that point, given the idea of judging a person for what they are instead of their labels. Funny how we can catch ourselves doing and being something completely different than what we perceived... To wit, if a person acts like an ass to me, I think of them as an ass - and their name doesn't factor into the equation. If it did, I'd assume everyone with the same name as my boss[es] at work were retarded beyond redemption. Cheers.
