In my local group you would find warmth and support as a single Dom. We have all kinds of vanilla fun together and I think you would find the kind of companionship you seek.

We have monthly seminars and speakers, and play parties where you are not required to participate.

New members are watched (naturally) to make sure that they are contributing to the welfare of the group as a person.

If you don't want to be viewed as a predatory single male, why not contact the munch host and explain your situation. Ask if he or she can introduce you to others in a ldr so you can commiserate together. Then get there early so that everyone isn't already there.

Well, HK, allow me to extend the invitation to the Tampa Munch if you ever find your way up here, like for FetCon or Florida Fetish Weekend. Go to the events you want to go to. There are a mix of every kind of relationship at every one of them. Except if you are the only one that shows up.

Don't worry about your situation. It is not unusual. You can discuss it with people and it will be fine. You can keep it to yourself and it will be fine. My biggest issue at events was being bored because the topics half the time were programming and other crap that bored me.

As others have said, it depends.

I was treated pretty well. In fact, on the third time there I was asked by a Dom if I wanted to learn how to flog, and he offered his sub's body as the target while he explained how to do it well. :)
