I've done a lot of bitching lately, some of you even know what set me into this depressing thing.... but now I'd like to take a different turn. Here are 5 things I am grateful for. ((Note, these arent in any particular order))

1. My family, they are always understanding, no matter what goes on in my life. My ma especially who knows as much as she wants to (maybe a bit more) about my lifestyle and supports me in it, to the point of listening to me bitch about past events

2. My Job: I know I say that I hate it, but they hired me immediately, and are willing to work with me on my schedule so that I can make it to work on time and still spend time with my um, and they do pay more than anyone else would for the same job.

3 My UM: When she smiles at me, I feel good no matter what is going on, her giggle of delight at just about anything her 10 month old mind could conceive of, its just amazing and reminds me that there is always wonder in life.

4. My Ravel: Ravel is an amazing woman, just for putting up with living with me, and she always tries to make sure things are done and done well, and is aways looking for a new place to improve in her life.

5. My Freedom: The fact that I can wear a shirt that completely offends 90% of the people around, and there isnt anything that can be done about it. The fact that I can say out loud that I think the Government is going to hell, and that it is in large part, because of religion, and its breakdown. Without fear of being arrested, is amazing!

So, please share 5 things that you are grateful for :)

Nice thread!

1.  I'm grateful for my wonderful grown daughter who actually believes that her best attributes are those she learned from me.  : )

2.  I'm grateful for my Master who taught me a greater fulfillment than I've ever seen before.

3.  I'm grateful for my job which allows me to travel around the world, work on international committees (on one of which I just won an award for excellence), and the fact that it is basically part time.

4.  I'm grateful for my kitten who makes me laugh.

5.  I'm grateful for the people here that I can talk to when there is no where else I can turn.  Even though we may not always agree I learn new things and sometimes get exactly the help that I need, or have the chance to help others.

I am grateful for:

The hard times I had in my younger days.  Those times helped me to become the strong, independent, self-sufficient woman that I am today.

My family.  Meaning the people that live in my house.

My job and the great supervisor that I have.

The freedom I have to be who I want to be, say what I want to say, and do what I want to do.

life.

my life, with all it's dips and rolls and potholes. it's made me "me" and i'm not so bad these days. my sense of humor is back, my love of life is back and i'm working on bringing the kinky in!

other's lives.

most recently, someone who could have lost his life hasn't. the people who come into my life and stay and the people who wander in for a little while and wander out leaving a little wisdom behind.

Cool Thread...

1. My family because without them I wouldn't be here, and I wouldn't have the spine to be the person I am.
2. My friends because without them my world would fall apart.
3. My wonderful Master.... He is everything to me. He makes the bad stuff in life go away...
4. My job... I love what I do ... just not who I work for sometimes.... But I get to tell people where to go and how to get there in my job and I love it :D !!!
5. My health and the fact that God has let me stay around this long... hope I get to stay longer :D

Peace

Angelic

smiles..... I have a lot to be thankful for

in no order:

My parents whom I had moved back to look after for the past 8 years are being very supportive of my impending move to Melbourne.  MY mum actually said to me words to the effect of  " You gave up 8 years of your life to look after us, now it is time for you to have a life!"  I was floored by this comment as I didn't realise they knew just what I had given up.

My niece is the light of my life and was up at 6.30am this morning in the freezing cold helping me set up things for a garage sale.  And she went around the neighbourhood with me last night and put signs up for the garage sale and when we got home she taught me how to use her Wii to play Mario!

I have a great bunch of friends scattered all over the world united by the love of music and we send each other kitschy postcards and silly presents and my heart feels full when I think of them.

My best friend whom I will be living with in Melbourne has been a friend for about 15 years  I am so thankful that we are going to experience this whole living in Melbourne together as we have dreamt of doing this for years..
And tomorrow I am really really hoping that my surgeon will tell me that he never wants to see me again!!!!!!! Now that would be awesome!

There is so much in my life that I am thankful for every day. :)

alysia is grateful for:-

Master - He has been so patient and understanding with His girl.  He is amazing and this girl is very lucky.

alysia's son - just for being who he is and turning out so well.  He too is amazing and this girl is extremely proud of him.

Family - they may be a mix between the munsters and the beverly hillbillies but they're alysia's and she loves them.

Friends - always there through the good times and the bad with a cwtch and a smile... oh and a large southern comfort lol.

Internet - for allowing alysia to learn that she isnt the only one who likes it on her knees in front of a dominant man ( it's not the mouth it comes out of it's the mind it goes into) :)

Oh, so many things.... but 5 in no particular order:

- My Mother, for living her life by her own rules and showing me that choosing the path less travelled can lead to happiness. And for always cheering me on to find my own.

- The resiliency of my ums, for bouncing back from divorce and death and growing into interesting, nice people whom I am proud to call friends, let alone my children.

- My late ex, for finally leaving me when I would have stayed another 10 years out of loyalty and child-rearing.

- My own resiliency, the ability to know that the light at the end of the tunnel will eventually show up. My ability to pick myself up, dust myself off and nurture a broken heart. The fact that, even though I can be a bit naive about people, I still believe in inherent goodness. My ability to choose to be happy with what I have and not envy others. My ability to be grateful for what I have in my life even during the darkest times.

- Master, who showed me that intimacy with a strong, good man can happen outside the pages of a romance novel. Who loves me with the same intensity with which I love Him. Who is infinitely wise and patient with me and my um's. Who has shown me that stability and committment do not equal staid and boring. With whom life is an adventure that keeps deepening and expanding.

Lovely thread, Asher. Thanks.

-- My family: quirky and sometimes maddening, but loving.

-- My friends: interesting, smart, and (despite that) willing to put up with me

-- Washington: a fascinating, beautiful, livable city

-- Water: source of life (drinking) and joy (swimming)

-- My body: overlarge and imperfect but basically sound

ok, a combined effort
We are soooo thankful we found each other......
Our familes, they drive us mad sometimes but we wouldnt be without them
Our parents in particular, if they hadnt bought us to NZ when we were kids, we prob wouldnt have met.
Our own wonderful offspring, four between us, all male and all making their way in life with love and joy
Our old black dog, 15 years old but still a puppy at heart.
Our home, our floating little palace.
The view we wake up to every morning, always changing, always beautiful
C & c

I’m grateful that my ex & her guy left their Benz in my driveway so I have a car to go car shopping with.

I’m really glad that I just found an AWESOME dungeon on wheels… (currently waiting for mom to come home later so I can test drive it) - There is a great deal on a conversion van that I will make into a BDSM-RV, I will have a name plate made for it saying:  “Resident Vehicle”

I am glad that the new Batman movie is at a local theater and I am off to go see it right now………….   Later gators!

..............oh yeah... and so I dont appear too shallow and materialistic, I hope for peace on earth and all that family crap too.
