Status: offline 		It is silly and absurd what some people choose to be "offended" about.  But hey, this was great for a chuckle!!!

On a side note, my bestest friend saw a car in the parking lot, that said "STDMOBIL".  We immediately read this to say "STD Mobile" not the "STUD MOBILE" it was meant to say.

Status: offline 		Perhaps her reaction was over the top or perhaps she is simply being overly cautious is ontoday's society. The reality is she could have taken it and someone could have taken offense to it and read it as Nigger.What if the one taking offense acted out towards her because of it? What if it enraged them so much they lost control? The reality is in our society sillier things have happened - so perhaps she was being overly concerned but perhaps she simply playing the what-if game and instead of being forced to react to a situation that might occure being proactive and refusing the plate to begin with.

Status: offline 		I can understand her not wanting the plate, but calling the press was a little over the top. Maybe someone at the office called them, when they dumped the rest of the plates. My boss at an old job sent me to the DMV to pick up a plate for the company car. When I saw it, I noticed the numbers 666 and kinda chuckled. The clerk asked if I wanted a different plate, but I thought my boss was an idiot anyway, so I went ahead and kept it.

I might have. I tend to look at plates and try to make words out of them. Kills time while I am waiting at lights and such.

Status: offline 		While I did find it quite funny, I would of done what the lady did.  Maybe it is being overly cautious, and sensetive to political correctness, but I would rather take THAT chance then putting the plate on my car.
