Thanks mike, anger management and all that. I wish you and kittin were closer....we could all be angry together, at the beach, with cold big kid drinks and music. Hates that all the fun peeps are so far away.....[:-]

Okay so to stay on topic, I had Fox News on for a second this morning while channel surfing so I only caught the tail end of it but i think i saw something about Obama being on next week? Is that right? Hmmm...

How come that doesn't surprise me Aynne....I am so pleased you are no longer angry...

Sanity -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 9:40:45 AM)

Yeah, no doubt another one of those radicals who people were complaining about earlier on in the thread.

Just goes to prove, FOX will put anybody on...

But isn't that one of your sides big complaints, that Obama does not dare to go on to Faux News? What now?

slvemike4u -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 9:52:31 AM)

Don't know about next week ,but did you catch him on NBC this morning(Meet The Press)He did a fine job,and came off very Presidential with nary a hint of the "court jester"about him [:D] Aynne if I were closer you could bet your bottom dollar I would have by now ound my way to share an afternoon or two with the two of you lovely lady's

pahunkboy -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 10:01:20 AM)

...here is fox

Sanity -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 10:07:11 AM)

No, if he's so stupid he won't go on FOX News, that's his problem. It's only the most popular cable news network there is... if he wants to shoot himself in the foot, I'd happily hand him the loaded gun.

Aynne -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 10:12:29 AM)

Umm sure, because so many Faux viewers are likely to vote for a democrat that is black for POTUS. What a loss there for Obama.[8|]

Aynne -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 10:14:04 AM)

I did see him. Fantastic job. Isn't is still wierd though to watch that without Tim Russert?
p.s. Love a guy that is not scared of hanging with two smart chicks [;)]

Why are you so hung up on his color. And its only the far left who are so apoplectic about FOX News, and Senator Obama already has their vote. If he refuses to go on America's most popular news channel in order to please them then he's mindlessly throwing away a lot of votes.

That's funny.

Did you ignore the original post in this thread? FNC staffers and administration flacks knowingly and repeatedly broke the law. The only time I'm ever called far left is by right wing extremists, the actual extreme left differs from my views on gun control, Israel, property rights and a whole host of other things, and I am outraged that those involved are going to get away with it.

That you think it is ok for people you agree with to break the law is a telling example of what is wrong with the extreme right. The ends never justify the means.

Has Obama actually refused to go on FOX News?

kittinSol -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 10:48:37 AM)

Ridiculous. The people who are apoplectic are the Pox News automatons and their belief that the world's coming to an end because people are going to vote for Obama in November. I watched it this morning as well, and they're positively frothing at the mouth [:D] . It's actually quite entertaining, in a sick, watch a trainwreck kind of way.

Edited, for dodgy spelling.

Sanity -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 11:02:29 AM)

That's ridiculous.

The OP was bipolerber complaining that the White House sent press releases, memos, etc. out to Fox News - oh the horror.

I'll bet you they sent them out to CNN and everyone else, too.

How is that illegal. How is that different than what any other administration has done...

They all do that. It's no news, it's nothing new.

And of course most people who are extreme in their views don't realize it. We're all perfect moderates in our own minds... aren't we.

Every one of us.

Actually you're trying to twist the plain facts, the federal government is legally prevented from co-ordinating news coverage with any single organization or paying in any way for news coverage. The book details quite clearly that this wasn't press releases that are freely available for all but private distribution of the administrations talking points. Which is and was then against the law.

I don't deny I'm left of center but as any extreme leftist will be happy to tell you I'm far too moderate. You will of course continue the tired lie of trying to equate anyone left of Genghis Khan as a nut case far leftie but people have long ago seen through that bullshit.

kittinSol -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 11:10:57 AM)

Though I don't see much virtue in policial moderation; it's too wishy washy for me. It's easy to sit on the fence. Then again, I'm a cwazy libewal.

[/quote] For myself those woebegone days of sitting on a fence seem awful appealing right now, hell we have been moved so far right as a country,I can't even see the fence!
Kittin you are so much more than a cwazy libewal, there's that whole sharp as a razor thing going on....which I find cwazy attractive...but that's just me...

Sanity -> RE: Fox News is the Ministry of Information. (7/27/2008 11:26:19 AM)

That wasn't in the OP, those are new allegations, or at least there are more allegations in greater detail. Nevertheless, why don't you do us all a huge favor and cite for us and provide credible links us as to exactly which law it is that forbids presidents from talking to the press.

And of course you're a moderate, Ken.

Of course you are... [8|]
