Status: offline 		salon products...whatever is on sale...always the 1 litre products (shampoo/conditioner package) as they last me a full year. i wash hair twice a week..seeing is im not outside much i dont get that dirty.  and since no one is with me in bed...i cant get dirty inside.

Status: offline 		owned...i went for a consultation on getting my hair highlighted and they wanted to charge me 300 bucks...i just cant' bring myself to pay that for highlights.  i do get my hair cut there but i just can't be so spendy on color.

however, it is my goal, within the year to own one of each of their products!  rofl

its because its curly and long...for me if i want highlights its around $50 or roughly $9 per foil or whatever u call them things.  plus the $81 for all around color.  total is about $140.  but mine is easy since its long and straight.  it just takes like 3 hours.  i havent had highlights in my hair for couple years now.  it too hard to get rid of when you dont want it.

Status: offline 		I buy whatever is on sale when whatever I've been using has run out. I actually came across some Flex shampoo which I hadn't seen for a couple of decades.

The vinegar thing, I do every couple of weeks (keep your eyes shut because it can burnnnnn). I don't color or perm my hair although I did try that um, 'I'm gonna wash that grey right outta my hair' stuff before I went to Austin just to see what it looked like with my silver streak gone. It didn't do diddly lol.

It gets washed a couple times a week but I shower daily, my hair refuses to part unless its completely sodden and combed wet.

I was all set to get it cut short short til R said how much he loves running his fingers through it, so it stays.

i'm using up a bottle of Dove shampoo and cond. at the moment, though i have used Paul Mitchell, Pantiene Pro V, and Herbal Essences before...

Status: offline 		Becoming hypothyroid also meant having my hair become dry and frizzy, as well as falling out more than ever. So I am constantly on the lookout for a good shampoo that won't contribute to the dryness and frizziness. I recently started using Nature's Gate Chamomile Replenishing Shampoo for Color-treated Hair, as well as the accompanying conditioner. My hair has started to feel a whole lot nicer. I'm not sure it necessarily looks a whole lot better, but it does behave differently. Then again, I can't help wonder if it might be the Shikai Color Reflect Mist & Go Conditioner that I started using around the same time.

For those mentioning the use of vinegar, what vinegar do you use? White? Apple Cider? I'd like to try it and see what it does for my hair. :)

i have no thyroid, so i feel Your pain.....  Actually, my favorite shampoo and conditioner is Back to Basics Rasberry...mmmmmmm.....

i love the smell of that.

christine, your hair is gorgeous (from the pic), and I can't imagine being able to do anything more to it to make it more beautiful.  You should just save your money and bask in the glory of those lovely blond, curly locks!

I use Bragg's all natural Apple Cider Vinegar myself. It's not harsh like white as it's not distilled. It's fermented. Good stuff. And despite some comments from the peanut gallery, no, there's no odor. *winks*

I use Pantene and don't change my products for the seasons.  My biggest issue is finding a conditioner to keep my hair tangle-free because it's so long.  The Pantene is the best I've found for that so far, but any other recommendations?

Also, can anyone tell me how to use the vinegar rinse?  My hair needs a major overhaul, as it is getting dull and a bit dry.  Guess the Pantene isn't so great for it, after all.  :::sigh:::

Status: offline 		For dry hair a mayonnaise treatment is hands down the best (yes I am in the industry)

on wet hair use 1-2 cups of regular cheap mayo and work it through your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag or shower cap and let it sit for an hour.  Shampoo and condition as usual.
