Thadius -> Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 4:18:22 AM)

Late Sunday night Obama checked into the  Universit of Chicago Medical Center....

All that basketball seems to be taking at least a slight toll on Sen. Barack Obama's nearly 47-year-old body.
Late Sunday, he visited the University of Chicago Medical Center to have a sore hip checked by an orthopedic doctor. It has been bothering him since before the start of his overseas trip on July 17.
Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said the basketball injury is nothing serious, but some X-rays were taken.

Something is goin on here... They claim it has been bothering him before the trip, then call it a basketball injury...  I honestly think the hip is just a cover story.  I will post the video as soon as it is available, let's just put it this way, he was wearing jeans and walking just fine.

I could be wrong,
Thadius

P.S. I thought if I was going to hear about hip injuries in this election cycle, it would have had McCain's name attached to it.

I just don't see a story here.  The Chicago press has covered this from every angle for years.  He just has a bad knee for a lifetime of playing sports.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 5:53:54 AM)

Considering who he is running against,I really don't see a scenario where Obama's health is an issue....

Depends on what health problem Obama is hiding.

Why don't you guys (you and Thadius in particular) don't come out into the open and admit you're on an anti-Obama campaign of diffamation and fear-mongering? At least, it would be honest [:D] . Come on, admit it! You're trying to influence the opinion of the undecided voters on the boards, aren't you!

dominapain -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 8:01:36 AM)

why worry he will change next week with the polls

Leatherist -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 8:01:59 AM)

At least senility is not likely to be the overiding health concern-like it was with ancient ronnie.

Admit it?  When have I denied it?

I'm anti-Obama.  I know it is difficult to believe that an intelligent, educated, enlightened individual could actually find a glib glad-hander with no experience, no leadership skills, no new ideas, and no substance an unacceptable choice for President of these United States, but it really is true.  I am anti-Obama.  I am passionately anti-Obama.  I have never pretended to be anything but anti-Obama.

So am I.  The only difference is I am also anti McCain.  I find giving a free rock concert with free brats and beer to people so they show up...JUST so you can look overwhelmingly popular to the people in the US reprehensible.
Yet at the same time I also find Mccain reprehensible..so I read it all.  Hoping to find some glimmer of hope so I have a candidate to waste my vote on this November.
I will vote no matter what..just no idea who or what for.

bestbabync -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 8:13:53 AM)

sub4hire,
i have had some difficulty in deciding just like you!  so i decided to support with my vote the candidate that will do the least harm.  i know this sounds crazy, but it is the only solution i found.

Ironic. One of the lib's "knocks" against McCain is his age and, therefore, his naturally increased susceptibility to health related problems yet it's Obama, almost half McCain's age, who has to go to a hospital for a health related problem.  My diagnosis is that Obama's hip problem is due to the extreme weight of his far left-wing liberal mind.

servantforuse -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 8:28:07 AM)

Obama doesn't know what he's talking about. Are you sure they didn't mean 'lip' problems????

This would need to be one doozy of a health issue to make a 72 y/o seem preferable to a 47 y/o man health wise...Kittin anyone that could be influenced by this stuff has bigger problems than who will occupy the Oval Office

kittinSol -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 9:08:26 AM)

The admition by celticlord that he'll pretty much say anything in an attempt to change people's minds with regards to Obama, we are finally able to draw the conclusion that much of the anti-Obama crowd on the boards has taken to Fox News as its main source of inspiration. This explains the intense posting ratio and grasping at pretty much any issue that has the name 'Obama' in its title.

It's sad, but at least, now, we  know . It's all spin, slander and manipulation tactics [8|] .

Well, who is that?  We cannot vote someone in whose main premise is to raise taxes on us because they don't know any better.  We need oil right now..until the auto companies get with it to give us vehicles that are alternative fuels.  Not...a hybrid where only a few thousand a year are built.  Plus they still need gas to run.
We need to drill in Alaska.  I'm an environmentalist but...its a desolate area.  We need something until people get it together.

Anyway...I could go on and on..those are just the two most recent articles I was reading today.  I could go on about so many other problems...like the economy..blah..blah.

kittinSol -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 9:24:53 AM)

The Government just released the latest Federal Budget Deficit figures... up 20% from their estimation. So... $490 BILLION, folks. The highest ever recorded.

Nice job: whomever succeeds these clowns is going to HAVE to raise taxes, one way or another. It's hilarious that Republican voters are already anticipating blaming the Democrats for such a shameful record: but whoever said honesty was their main quality?

$490,000,000,000.00

You have to laugh, I suppose [:D] .

celticlord2112 -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 9:35:07 AM)

Naturally, anti-Obama opinions and preference MUST be spin and manipulation.[8|]

The notion that Obama is unqualified for high office is slander?  Ummm...ok kittin...if that makes you feel happy.

slvemike4u -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 9:44:24 AM)

This thread has been moved to Polls and Other Random Stupidity....the mods are obviously doing their jobs

kittinSol -> RE: Obama hip problems???? (7/28/2008 9:45:09 AM)

As you say, Obama's leadership capabilities or lack thereof are a 'notion', an opinion. You can't really prove them either way, since he's never been elected president. But that's not what we're talking about, it is? It's nefarious insinuations (such as 'Obama hip problems', when the federal budget comes crashing down on the rest of the country, with the Republicans sitting pretty and watching the disaster) that are in the firing line here. It's all terribly Fox News, and reeks of tabloid journalism. But you said it yourself, mate.
