Help me...they are invading the trailer...

BTW, Mom discovered tonnes of crocheting books in one of the storage bins.  Looks like I have to organize everything AGAIN!.

I explored the city yesterday to see what shops are here in my new area and went through countless charity shops :o)

And the first one had my treasure :o)

An originally sealed DVD about crochetting :o) for 1 pound :o)

I never ever imagined to find dvd instructions about it in a charity shop here as it is already rare to find a book about it...but there I did :o)

And as i am simply at 0% with my crochetting skills at present it made my day big time :o)

Way to go.  Lizard has a DVD with her book about how to crochet.  Hopefully she will it to practice the basic stitches.

I need to work on my crocheting talents.

Does anyone have any tips about blocking needlepoint? I will be making my first attempt soon.

Do any of you who knit or crochet have experience with washable wool yarns?  Are they all wool/acrylic blends?  or 100% wool?  For the knitting i want to do for the Seaman's Institute, they require washable yarn.  i heard that wool is warmer than plain acrylic.  Does anyone have some in their stash you want to get rid of for postage?

I've used 100% washable wool and love it. Doesn't feel any different to regular wool to knit, and the gauge is the same. The yarn i've used before was Australian, that i bought in New Zealand.      ........................ and no, i don't have any extra.

edited to add - most wool yarn is washable by hand, but the yarn i was using was machine washable.

Do you have a brand name for the Australian 100% Washable Wool?

Guess what...one of Lizard's friends does crochet and she is willing to teach her.

The left of the bedroom has been taken over by yarn and projects.  I should work on crafts today...

fluffy, I've never tried it, but I have heard that if you take regular wool yarn and wash it in the machine and dry it in the drier (presumably in a lingerie bag) it will do its full shrinkage and be washable in the future. I have done that with fabric and find that it works quite well. I'm sorry but I have no wool yarn at all down herel

I need some help.

Lizard thinks that she is pregnant (got the package from Dollar General) .

I hope the next test is negative, but I am trying not to work on baby layettes.  I got too many projects to work on at this time.

Besides, I need to stop looking at the baby stuffies at Walmart.  Mom is not helping...she wants to be a great-grand mom.

I am not ready to be a grand mom...yet.  Lizard had a plan of no babies until she was 25.  Damn those hormones...

Hey...I am confessing on the wrong thread...LOL!

Guess I run along and check out some sites for baby stuffies.  I promised Mom that I will not buy any new yarn until I get my projects done.

fluffy, there is a lot of merino wool on ebay.  Perhaps one of the sellers can answer that question for you.
