What does 'Kentucky' mean?

If I told you that the abbreviation was KY, would that help?

I worked cook and counter in one in 1979.

They dip it once in batter, then bread it in flour.. batter dip it again, and rebread it. It makes lumps in the flour. It also made a mess that we had to sift out of the flour after every batch.

supposedly that's an urban legend, but I have never been able to eat KFC since I heard that, and it was a looooong time ago.  for some reason I just get a picture in my head ...and the words "rat tender" keep popping up too...

Nothing wrong with some nice tender rack of young rat - perfectly nutritious. I prefer them raw myself, fresh off the sewer, but I hear they're nice bathed in msg too  .

Edit:syntax error.

from said cookbook...
K*C Original Fried Chicken
1 teaspoon Accent (MSG)

Well - that explains why I'm sick every time I attempt to eat at KFC.

Anyone ever read King Rat by James Clavell (Shogun)?

And why would anyone want to eat KFC when there are still Church's Chickens out there?

And,  Oh, yeah...

I remember when McD's was supposed to be serving worms in their meat. Not sure why they would have, but it stopped a lot of people from eating there for a while.

You start by taking a bunch of baby chicks. Chop off their beaks and their feet. Put as many of them as you can in as small a space as possible. Feed them a lot of steroids.......

Shoot, I better call my sister. She just got some chicks and I don't think she knows she is supposed to do this. Thanks

The worms rumors have hit almost every fast food chain, I remember the same rumors about Jack in the box... I think the target of the rumors were pretty much regional as well.  I hadn't heard the McD rumors until I traveled out of the Midwest.

This is even more disturbing to me than the rat myth because this is entirely true. KFC is an abomination.

Sorry Christine, I am with Mr. Bourdain on this one. Besides, I think that the consumption of fois gras vs. KFC may be quite different. Watch the video, it really is enlightening.
