Definitely the opening ceremonies.... and any and all that I am able to get.  Probably most of the soccer, and Phelps events.

I love the olympics, I just hope they have enough coverage live that I don't have to worry about avoiding the news until the replay airs.

Gymnastics, all swimming events as well as diving..........

LaTigresse -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 12:20:29 PM)

I will try and tune in for the equestrian events but it will be hit and miss. I don't have time for television right now.

Vendaval -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 12:56:42 PM)

Hi LaT, [:)]

I would have guessed that you would tune in for the equestrian events.  Do you have TiVo or someone who can record the events that you miss from working so much?

SummerWind -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 3:09:19 PM)

I vaguely remember a number of drinking games associated with the summer olympics years past at the Jersey shore.....

Politesub53 -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 3:18:23 PM)

i wont be watching, all the drug scandals have put me off of track and field. The soccer would be good if it was truly all amatures, although there will be some great soccer pros on show.

All of it!

Boy, I miss hearing Jim McKay.

I'll be watching and waiting for all the freedom loving pseuds to demonstrate, interfere and generally make a nuisance of themselves

Other than that, the lady sprinters with their lovely hips and thighs encased in those mouth wateringly tight hot pants. lol

Alumbrado -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 4:19:22 PM)

I won't be watching anything,  I had my Spanish Pipedream several years ago.[;)]

smilingjaguar -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 4:36:52 PM)

Women's gymnastics and the equestrian events.  Maybe diving, depending on when it is.

pahunkboy -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 7:37:54 PM)

Ill peak in- to look at the architecture.

TheHeretic -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 8:59:53 PM)

Normally the swimming/diving and track & field.  Not this time.  It's just my own meaningless little gesture, but I'm boycotting these games.  FREE TIBET!

Vendaval -> RE: Summer Olympics - what will you be watching? (8/4/2008 9:24:35 PM)

I like the Bird's Next and the Water Cube, here is a slideshow of the buildings, aerial views -

I disagree with the Chinese governement's stance on many things, especially Tibet.  At least the games can hopefully provide peaceful dialogue.

No cable/satellite here----but my lady friend will be Tivo-ing all the basketball and boxing.

Early predictions :

Kobe, Carmelo... and the rest of the boys - will go undefeated, and win most games by at least a thirty point margin.

Raynell Williams, Andrade, Warren and Russell will all take gold. And when ''Boo Boo'' turns pro, it'll bring a lot of excitement back to the lower-weight game. The boy can really throw....

ALL OF IT! (except the commercials)

3 DVRs in the house, each one set to record every thing on each of the 3 channels on Dish that are broadcasting Olympics.
