At the Sturgis Rally, McCain stands up and says he notices there is a beauty contest, and that he thinks his wife should enter...

Awww....

Because he doesn't pay attention to context...  Miss Buffalo Chip is a Skank... a Fabulous Skank who strips, struts and occassionally in the past fellates her way to glory. Not a bad thing.  But McCain didn't do his research to realize what he was suggesting for his wife.

If he won't research this, how can we get him to research things which aren't sexy like bio-ethics or privacy concerns?

Just a thought....

but msprudence, since she has that quaint little pill habit, she can just medicate herself through the "icky' parts.  Poor Cindy....

It was a speech at a rally, not a policy debate. Did Obama do his research when he said we wouldn't have to drill for oil if we checked the air in our tires and got tune ups. ( by the way Baraac, we haven't needed tuneups in nearly 20 years.)

Whoever said Cindy was a terrible woman? Simply her husband fucked up badly there  (he IS running for the highest post in the country, and possibly, the world, after all) and made her look bad. If we can't have a laugh about that... may the Eternal be with us in these excruciating times.

She DID have a pill habit; nothing shameful there, bar for the fact that her husband IS running for president and that puts HER in the spotlight. Shame for her, but hey, that's the nature of the public beast.

As for her charity work... sorry, but I'm not going to elevate such an EXTREMELY rich person (and forgive me, but her choice of husband doesn't exactly make me feel much sympathy for her) to the rank of a 'saint' because she has done her duty and contributed a teeny weeny little bit of her immense income to help provide some relief to the world's poverty levels.

Harsh... but she DID marry a politician. And let's not forget in which circumstances.

PS: I forgot to say this, but she does get tax deductions for her charitable contributions, which aren't to be sniffed at. But who's the cynic here, her, or the rest of us for not getting caught up in the PR?

True. If there was a skank contest going on Bill Clinton would have known all about it and maybe already had his backstage laminate handy. Shame on McCain.

It is EXACTLY this sort of BS that makes me realize the Obama's are being good parents by deciding to NOT let their kids become media darlings during the campaign.

But yeah, OP, he obviously didn't ask around before he suggested his wife compete in the "suck a tennis ball through a storm fence" type competition. Too bad really, I'd love to see Cindy McCain in a wet t-shirt competition. But then, John does this sort of fuckup on a regular basis... he can't remember the difference between the Iraqi factions, he thinks that Iran is training Al Queda, has no idea how to use a PC or get on the internet, thinks gas is around $2.25 a gallon (according to one of his TV ads, anyway) ....

I think you are assuming too much. We know he's called her a cunt, so it ain't a stretch to call her a skank too. Maybe he knew exactly what he was suggesting.

For what it's worth, it's better treatment than he showed his first wife.  He's a real piece of work.

Big woo. She did that to hide the horrifying media glare from her pill addiction, script theft, and other nefarious activities. She is vile, he is vile, and I am too busy to elaborate. They both suck.

Hello to both of You.This is the sort of thing that can start a recovered addict right bact to bad habits. Not kidding either ,have to wonder if Cindy and John had a serious talk bout all the ramifications of this run for office....she could wind up funding a whole wing at the Betty Ford Clinic

Would a healthy dose of tolerance lead you to learn how to spell his name,or would that be to kind...

None of this has anything to do with the election, other than illustrating why we never seem to get the best of our political minds running for our highest office.

Sorry, I guess I'm the first guy to ever mispell a word here. Barack "Hussien" Obama... Why is it that he doesn't like anyone to use his middle name?? Is he ashamed of it ??

I don't use my middle name except when required to.  It's not that I'm at all ashamed of it (in fact I am damned proud of it), it'sjust I don't see the point.
That being said.. Why would he use his middle name in this society where so many people are busy making such a big friggin stink over it?
