I had one lie to me, I caught him in it when I asked a specific question and he looked at me puzzled.  He admitted that he lied about his age because he didn't want to be with women his own age!

Does anybody, regardless of age, color, religion, creed or bdsm polarization ever lie about their age for any number of reasons?

My rule is not to lie about my age (it is in my profile, anyway.)  However there was recetnly a new member in my area who stated she was not interested in anyone under 60.   Since I can't wait two years to meet her, I would lie if I could get away with it.

I was being chatted up online by a guy about a year back ... I mean seriously chatted up .. He was fairly local to me, lots of shared interests, pretty good looking, We chatted on the phone and I was like ... hey this guys seems cool, lets meet up for a coffee.
I only had one doubt, at 26 (then 3 years my senior) He was pretty young for me, I usually like a clearl 10-15 year age gap at least, its not unusual for me to play with people 20 or more years older than me. But I thought ... what the hell ... can't be any harm in meeting the guy and finding out.
So I suggested a meet, and the dude was obviously really torn ... running hot and cold ... one minute yes one minute no. I left him to it and signed off chat for the night. Next morning I get an email from him.

He isn't 26, he's 48. The pictures were of his son, and he included one of himself. He was considerably hotter than his son.

I sent him an email back saying ... ya know if you had been honest from the first about your age, you could have been balls deep in my ass by now. The fact that you lied now means I can't *ever* trust you to tell the truth. .. Sorry dude, better luck next time.

wonder if he still lies about his age?

I have to add this.
If anyone (male or female) lies about their age, they are probably not expecting to meet face to face.

Someone once told me...that yes, many Doms do drop some numbers off their real age, due to search parameters.  For example, a lot of people tend to weed older Doms out when they do a general search...like the cutoff age is 50 or so.  So older Doms sometimes, not all though, drop a few years off their real age to fall within general search parameters.  Probably hoping there is something else in their profiles that catches someone's attention.  I personally think it is a silly thing to do, but oh well....

yes, yes they do lie. i met a dom for coffee once who told me he was 40, now i'm 45. days later i found him on another site with his age being listed at 55. truly he should have stuck with his real age since there was no way he can pass for 40. if they are going to lie about their age what else will they lie about. you just can't start a relationship that way.
