I have a weird thing about age - it more or less doesn't register with me at all. People have personalities and appearances: some are intelligent - which is completely age-independent - some are interesting (the more you get to know them the more interesting they tend to be; older sometimes means more interesting but certainly not always) and some look hot (younger often looks hotter than older but certainly not all the time). And some have that strange something about their face (old or young) which makes one interested in them.
Experience is dodgy - some people have gained knowledge and ability from years of life; others have simply done and thought the same thing year after year; some young people have worked out stuff quickly, some older people have spent years simply not getting it; greater age does not correlate with greater experience.
So I think of people in terms of intelligence, interestingness and hotness, not age.
And intelligence and interestingness does it for me - hot is a bonus, age is irrelevant.
We all could, but we won't, name ppl on CM who are young yet whose posts suggest the wisdom of years and others who are old and whose ignorance or innocence come from a mere teenager. Both categories - wise and innocent - contain clever and stupid!
And my own age varies wildly. Much of the time it's between I suppose late twenties and late thirties; in the bedroom it's usually I guess early twenties (but strangely handicapped! [:(]); in the boardroom it's anything from mid forties to mid sixties; contemplating life's mysteries it's sometimes late teens and sometimes late nineties. Talking to others it also varies wildly - sometimes I feel like an innocent child, sometimes like a wise old sage, sometimes arrogantly superior, sometimes (why does it happen so often here?) like an inexperienced dork.
One problem with this is I can't tell how old people are (don't care so it doesn't register); I met Greeds and colouredin and I haven't a clue how old they each are - I only know they dramatically aged me [:-] .
