Why do things necessarily have to be cloaked in Subtlety?

While I don't necessarily LIKE what Leatherist or Max or Popeye said - I can respect their Honesty about things.  Dating is about finding a Mate and making a committed Relationship.  Mate implies that Sex is going to be Part Of that relationship.  If you don't find someone sexually appealing, it doesn't make a helluva lotta sense to bother Dating them.

Preferences are part of human nature.  To deny those preferences is to deny ourselves happiness - or at least contentment.  To deny we have specific preferences because someone Outside those preferences might be Offended it stupidity foisted on us by political correctness.

Well, hello there peach;

I don't believe I suggested or even intimated that anything need be subtle. I certainly don't deny anyone their preferences and honesty is indeed the best policy. I wonder why you reacted this way to me? I wrote "this is not exactly cloaked in subtlety" because I found it ironic and funny that he wrote he wasn't going to be roped into stating his preferences...and then did just that.

You find that to be intolerance for preferences or "stupidity" in the name of political correctness? Jesus....

Moo.

Ummm, well, I reckon I deserve that. Long as I'm getting, well, never mind. Go ahead and join in.

Oh, and, hopefully, this vendetta will end soon and you'll all be able to read what I post when I post it.

Did you find a my little "moo" to be an indictment? Your preferences are fine with me...anyone's preferences are fine with me. I'm not Rubenesque, so my "C" girls would probably strike you as "unbalanced." That's cool; I don't have to be attractive to everyone...

It was intended to be simply what I considered to be a pretty appropriate and, I had hoped, amusing response to the characterization of breasts, big breasts, as "udders."

I do have my physical preferences but the biggest is that they take care of themselves.  I exercise daily and limit my fried donut intake.  I have dated a wide range of physical types and found them all attractive.  The key for me has been them being able to pull of the "naughty girl" look (spanking Aunt Bea was never a kink of mine).  I have had long term relationships with people from their 20s to 40s and all could pull the look off that works for me.  They all did it it naturally and not for my benefit -- it was just part of them.

I do tend to look for the whole package.  The "whole package" however, included inside AND outside.  I know beautiful larger and smaller people.  I also know rather unattractive (to me) larger and smaller people.  The only thing that gets to me is the person that is larger and has a huge chip on their shoulder about it.  Every time someone doesn't want to date them they claim the other person is shallow.  Those people never seem to be able to take responsibility for their own crabby nature and look inside rather than blame the rest of the world.

All of that being said, I try my best to stay in shape in a healthy way but there are physical characteristics that I wish I could change in myself.  I don't get hung up on it and it doesn't sink my self esteem but I still wish I could change them.  I can't suddenly grow more hair on my head but I can keep the ones that seem to have found a new home in my ears yanked out (bratgirl seems to get her sadistic jollies from going after me with a pair of tweezers).

Well I wrote it that way specifically to seem ironic and funny, so I am glad that is how you found it.  I have to admit also, though that the comment you made seemed very much in the same tone as "We are not amused..."  lol.  It is nice to hear that was not your intent.

Tee, it was your statement about things not being cloaked in subtlety that led to my remark.

I find denying that we all have preferences, or taking offence at someone acknowledging that they have preferences, to be along the lines of politically correct stupidity.  Irony is seldom stupid (there Are exceptions to every rule, after all lol) - I simply failed to see the ironic portion of your post - for which I appologize.

That was part of my own problem - I failed to see the humor in Tee's statement.  One of the failings of being online rather than holding a conversation face to face - no body language or tone of voice to determine such Subtleties!

You mean this?

I think every woman of any size and shape can be beautiful. If she has a horrid personality.. I want nothing to do with her.. no matter how pretty she is.

I have to admit I can not stand looking at overly skinny women. I want to feed them ecliars. I get afraid I will break them by just hugging them little alone anything else. ick.

I do like my girls Thick... but if they arent.. thats ok too. It's what is in thier heart, and thier heads that "gets to me"

I am no twig by any ones standards. I am an Amazon.. and I know some are not into that. Some get freaked out if a woman is taller or larger then they are... *shrugs* they are allowed to feel that way. ~ I find it kinda silly since smaller men do not freak me out.. but eh.. to each thier own.

Gwyn

so now....  I can put this sign up

It had been what a month since we had a fat thread.. are we slippin or what?

Yeah, I did take it that way. Not the first time I've misinterpreted something. Ah, well...

And I'd probably enjoy your "C girls". Let me try a rephrase of my original comment. I do not understand the worship of huge breasts that most American males indulge in.

Threads of this nature (kinda weight and body style oriented) always amuse me. That some people are identified as bad, wrong or shallow based on who or what they find attractive doesn't add up to me. It is akin to judging and condenming people for liking green beans, or new age music, or wool socks, or the color aquamarine.

Isn't it OK for us all to just like what we like?

Uncle Nasty

See, this is the problem.....these threads never stay positive with people just saying what they like.  No, the comments like "disgusting" and "cowlike" and "unhealthy" and belittlements like, "There's no excuse for being fat and fat people should do something about it" always have to make their snide little appearances.

How odd that this thread should provoke such emotions in me.  Memories....feelings...reflections.  I find it hard to identify with anyone who has posted thus far because I just cannot 'feel' attracted to someone unless we  interact in real life...and a big part of the reason is subtle things...like how he smells...how he moves...whether he seems to have what I call 'personal power'...etc.  I've met men for dates who anyone would consider attractive and yet...nothing.  They were bright and funny and well intended but something I can't quite quantife just wasn't there.

I've been driven to distraction to men I didn't immediately notice....once I spent time with them.  Yes, there are men on either end of the spectrum...the spokesman for Allstate makes me drool and there are men who may not have been well advised to post a photo (or at least THAT photo) on their profiles...but in the main, it's all about the something-something with me.

And I guess I'm like Maxwell....what gets me wet just will not respond to command.

I doubt anyone is really attracted to someone without real life interaction.  They are attracted to whatever they imagine that person to be, not the actual person.  It is a fantasy disguised as a person.  It is amazing how hard the disappointment can hit when it is discovered the fantasy was just that.  People often end up feeling like they have been lied to, but in truth, they were lying to themselves.

I love girls with big thighs. You know, pear-shaped girls filling out their bluejeans. There is something so attractive about thick, fleshy thighs and a soft rump. It's unfortunate that so many bigger girls have low self-esteem, because confidence and pride is sexier than any physical aspect.

I have noticed a tendancy for men to talk about udders in references to breasts.

I think, as payback, and equally valid is to mention that as men get older , their scrotums give in to gravity and sag   -    a lot.   I have seen scrotums that could serve as a sporrin, or a handbag -  a big one!  I haven't quite come up with a pithy, nasty term for this - but i do know the surgery they need - a scrotopexy! *snigger*
Perhapes someone could give some thought to this and come up with a term - like teabag - because when they sit on the toilet, the scrotum bobs in the toilet bowl - like a teabag.

Didn't the "actor" Nick Nolte have one of those operations recently?
He was on the Jay Leno show the other night and his brain is toasted by years of alchohol abuse!
He's got "wet brain" like Ted Kennedy.

Ugh..Ted Kennedy.  Now there is one man I can say with certainty I feel absolutely no attraction towards in any sense whatsoever.  He could solve the energy crisis single handed and to me he'd always be nothing more than a murderer who was never prosecuted.

What a bizarr-o family THAT mustv'e been...to produce JFK and RFK and then to produce a waste of space like Ted.
