Status: offline 		We missed last month, and we're late this month, but it's time for our good old monthly roll call!

If you've never participated in one of these before, the premise is simple.  It's a little update in what is happening in your life just now.  Yes, it's on the Ask A Mistress board, but that doesn't mean that only Dominant females can participate.  This is the chance for those of us who post to catch everyone up in what's happening in our lives.  It's about whatever is going on with you that you would like to contribute.

As for Myself, it's been officially three months since My husband went to Korea and six weeks since My sub graduated from school here.  Things have evened out for the most part.  I had a little (ok, a lot) difficulty with the adjustment period.  It's not the easiest thing from going to a poly family of three in the household, to going to being the kinky person who lives by yourself. 

Honestly, I have to give great credit to My leather family here in My little town.  They have been very supportive of Me.  They've made sure that I know I have a wonderful circle around Me, and I'm very grateful for that.  There have also been a number of CM folks who have helped Me keep My chin up.  If you missed it before, this is My opportunity to say thanks.

I have a demo coming up soon, which is being called Fire and Ice.  I'm really looking forward to this one.  Due to the venue, it may not be quite as flashy as I originally envisioned it.  I can't exactly be setting off the sprinkler systems, now can I?  Also, I recently accepted an invitation to present again in Atlanta before the end of the year.

As for playing, not all of My opportunities have panned out the way I would like.  In the past month, I've been doing some private teaching, but intense scenes have been rare.  I'm hoping that will change next weekend, where I'll have just Myself, My toy bag, and (gasp) an empty dance card.

I'm getting ready for Mistress' return in two days. Monday morning she'll arrive at the airport and we'll load up the rental car, rest for a day or two, and then head back home to Knoxville.

That's really the big thing for me right now.

Status: offline 		Well, on big news, I have a commission for a new novel -- a little outside my normal reach, the publisher requested something "with lots of gratuitous sex" and "fast cars"... I compromised with "fast space ships" -- and I'm still a little leery on the 'gratuitous sex' part. Most of my work is sociological scifi, with very little "bump and grind".

We're meeting a potential boy this weekend. He's not into my laundry list of blood-sports, but he is into laundry, and is a good cook and it seems, so far, like he'll take good care of my Darling. I'm despairing of finding someone who is interested in my end of things -- but I am thinking about taking some of what I do in body modification into the professional realm -- especially the cautery branding, since we aren't drowning in branding artists yet. I won't make any decisions for at least another year, though -- I'm less than a year from being vested where I'm working, and I'm not going to lose that since I gave up a lot for it (aside from the freedom of working for myself, the ability to wear my hair the way I want, get more tattoos, and keep the implant version of my fangs -- can't scare the "Norms" at work).

My Darling's daughter is coming back to the States from 3 months in Brazil. She is ecstatic to be coming home -- apparently there was substantial culture shock -- and in order to get work down there, she had to dye her beautiful cotton-candy pink locks -BROWN-. That being said, she now has 3 months experience as a tri-lingual secretary for a major technology firm under her belt. I don't think she's decided if the job was worth her hair -- now where have we heard -that- before? *chuckles*

My daughter's birthday is Friday, and it looks like we're going to the NiN concert -- she was invited to the after-party, and the concert tickets came with it. *drools over hearing "Reptile" live*

Status: offline 		It's been a strange month for me.  I think I have spent more hours on the telephone in the last six weeks than in...well, in a long time!  And all with the same person.  It's been wonderful, and frustrating, and confusing. 

July 31 was the first anniversary of my grandmother's death.  I am not over it yet, but I am okay with going to family functions again.  I still avoid spending any time in her room.  I do spend a lot of time in the front room, where she died, and where Pansy died last month.  I rarely sit in the living room where Pansy's cage was.  Is it odd that I spend more time where my family members died than where they lived? 

I am working on being social, and doing a reasonably good job of it.  I got to Cali's birthday party a few weeks ago, and had a marvelous time meeting fellow CMers.  I am even getting to local events, and making new friends.  My life is still in reset mode, so I am focusing on doing things differently.

Okay here goes. This month's just begun but already we've uploaded new video clips, one of the Mistresses met a slave for lunch, the Mistresses celebrated Princess Day, we went to some local events, one celebrated her birthday, another added to her online diary, some of the slaves got owned, we added personal ads looking for a sissy secretary and another female assistant, and we've got a few new slaves making video clips for us that we'll be posting.

Status: offline 		Well I am still alive and kicking. I have barely survived the loss of my pup. He made a choice to ask for release and was granted it. My health sucks. I have been given a limited time to live, I won't disclose it, but will offer this instead. I do not intend to live out the time I have, in a hospital bed. My plan to get a guide dog, which was put on the back burner, is front and center again. Hopefully I will be going to the September class. It lasts a month and if all goes well, I will start school this fall with a new companion. My application for social security has finally been approved, I have only been asking for 5 years, so I am excited about that. With the retro check, I want to take my two sisters on a cruise. Spend some quality sissy time together.
Not much more to say. I have updated my photo's to reflect what I look like NOW as opposed to what I looked like prior to surgery last year. Gone is my beautiful auburn hair to be replaced with short and sassy blond (Natural color).
I hope all is well with everyone and as always I look forward to reading your wisdom and knowledgeable words :)

My partner is in the US on business (Chicago and Seattle) so its been a bit lonely the last 2 weeks.  As our little Mini-domme is only 5 months old, I stayed home this time.  She is absolutely gorgeous by the way.  Such a happy, smiling little angel.  What a blessing for us both late in life

Today I went to a fabulous munch.  Great to see old friends and make new ones.  Met an extremely yummy girl and will be seeing her again.  Also shopped for some new fetishwear today.  A girl can never have enough kinky clothes, I say

We have a big play party coming up this month called Provocation.  Cannot wait to get out and play again

Life is good.......

Status: offline 		I'm so thankful for a new month! In the past few months things have been very up and down for me. Thought I found the one only to smacked with glaring reality. Got angry and put my toys up... lol (Nothing childish about that... right?) And then stumbled onto the most amazing girl! She came for a great visit and fits into our little world like she was custom made for it! When I think about the circumstances I can't help but remember that country song "Thank God for unanswered prayers". If I had gotten what I thought I wanted I would have never found her. She's coming to stay the end of this month and all of us are jazzed.
 
My sugar has been jumping around a lot... not badly but enough to make me crazy! Not that I'm a control freak or anything...lmao The doctor says I'm doing great. And aside from a perpetual sinus infection that will NOT give up... I'm healthy and happy.
 
We got a lot of work done outside this past month and I finally put together the intestinal fortitude to try doing the faux finish in the entryway. I'm glad I did because it looks great! Oh, and the big news!! We finally got the roof in the diningroom fixed... no more pots sitting all over when it rains!!
 
And MoGa... you are most amazing! And I love the new pic. You have been missed around here.

Status: offline 		Ok well me and Valarx are doing great for all things considered. Im still haveing trouble finding a job (damn lay offs!), but Im doing better in my path to quitting smokeing, Im down from a whole pack a day....to 3 smokes a day. My Leather Family, is doing great, Leather Sir found a job (we both got caught in the lay offs from our old jobs), and is much happier, and his wife and leather sis are doing good too. Me and My Twin decided on finally makeing up and working the fetish shows together, so thats awesome. Um......My other sisters um's 3rd birthday is today

Status: offline 		Hmmmm.... I've never done this before.... But then, I'm bad about posting everything that's going on in my life anyway.  (I'm almost as bad as Mal!)

On the R/L front, summer has been far to short.  Didn't get to do a real vacation... but then, I rarely do.  At least I got to make several short trips up to my mountain for a few hours to clear my head and relax.  That's a good thing.

School starts back on Tuesday.  My youngest son will be a senior this year... so this will be my last year of this type of back to school mess.  

My business starts to pick up as soon as school starts... so my time here will become increasingly more limited.  (I know some will rejoice at that!)

Health wise, now that I have finally got the majority of my ongoing dental problems fixed, my husband needs to have an abscessed wisdom tooth pulled.  At least that is WAY cheaper than my $6K bridge I just had done.  No dental insurance SUCKS!

On the lifestyle side, my best boy Westie continues to amuse me.  He comes down to see me about once a month.  We never have enough time together, but I keep falling back on 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' proverb.  Most of my favorite on-line subs are keeping up.  One, whom I have missed, is finally getting more time on the computer now that his family is returning to their 'non-summer' routine and clearing out of his house.  Another new one is brightening my horizons.

Basically, life is busy... but good.

Oh sheesh, I was just fixin to write how amazing I thought you were! lol I was reading your posts and I thought about my own sugar levels and how so not in control I am of them and here you are..Ms Control Freak (Gasp! surprise!) handling yours like a pro. Would that make you a pro Dom? lol

Status: offline 		Its been a bad summer for me in a way. My Father had another stroke back in June and my Mother thinks its still the 1950's and that a man should never get sick and take care of his woman. So she has offically announced since Dad can no longer work(and dad isnt dead) she is seeking to be taken care of by a new man when she finds one. I'm just disgusted about the whole thing.

On a bright note, college is going well I have a 4.0 GPA and hope that it stays that way. My unmentionable is doing great and is off to college herself. Dogs and cat are doing great.

Let's see-- my oldest finally got back to the states from her long visit in the UK.  Haven't gotten to see her yet, but she is in the states finally and that's good.

The diabetes is great-- I have gone from 35 years of insulin, 2 or 3 times per day, to just one pill, twice a day.  Doctors still can't figure out why the pancrease started working again after more than 3 decades.

Still battling the lupus something fierce.  Had another very serious flare up 2 weeks ago and am trying to recover again.

The back is out again-- major pain!

I go see the breast surgeon on Monday to see if he really wants to biopsy or not.  Fingers are crossed for not.

My roomie and I have met many very wonderful subs/slaves lately.  Had quite a few projects that needed done and her nor I were physically able to do any of them.    Have had several subs out to work on them, and all are invited to come back any time (and most want to return frequently) and we can tie them to a tree in the woods again.  ;)  Seems that our social calendar is booked a month or more in advance, and it sure is good to stay busy.

Now we are just waiting for the summer heat to fade and beautiful autumn to come.

Status: offline 		I have to admit... I have a lot of help with my sugar intake. Twice can cook... I know you've all heard this before, but that woman can COOK. And she has searched and found all kinds of recipes for diabetics that are perfect for me. I am such a picky eater but she has it mastered. Today I was snacking on pumpkin pie... sugar free but you can't tell. She has managed to be able to do that with all my favorite foods so controlling the sugar intake is easy, all I have to do is eat what she cooks. Scooter is healthier too since he switched to the same diet I'm on, except that he still gets his candy.
 
I wanted to share what happened around here at Easter this year. I was doing great accepting my new diet until I realized that Easter was coming and that meant for the first time in my life there was going to be no chocolate bunny for me in my basket. Yeah, that depressed me. That girl searched high and low and managed to get the manager of our local store to find me one. I had a sugar free chocolate bunny in my Easter basket. Come on, what's Easter without a chocolate bunny for breakfast? She seems to be able to pull off minor miracles all the time for me.
 
MoGa... I have great blood pressure so I'm able to use cinnamon, I take it two or three times a day and it's really helped out a lot. It metabolizes the sugar. And Russell Stover makes a great selection of sugar free candies that doesn't taste like sugar free.
 
MamaDomme that is awesome!!!! I'm doing the same thing, one pill, twice a day. And doc is thinking I'll be down to one a day eventually. I'm still producing insulin and I'm hoping that after years of abusing my pancreais (how do you spell that?) this medication will kick it in the ass and I'll be able to control it with diet only.

Status: offline 		I am new to this. The last month we had company for two weeks. Company is nice but even better when they go home. They loved it here because they came in from Chicago. I have been really lucky to spend a few hours with a friend of mine from Atlanta. She flew in twice for some Butchman events and My lil one picked her up from the Airport and drove her out to where I work so we could spend some time together. I am working crazy hours and I am planning on taking some time off and enjoying some me time.

Status: offline 		I successfully moved in with my Owner, so now I'm *officially* her 24/7 slave.  I say *officially* because previously I was merely something near 20/6. :-p

Our Yahoo group is moving along nicely, and soon we should have a get together in the area planned.  We've been adapting to being around one another all the time pretty well, and I'm certainly enjoying being her working housewife as much as possible.

Speaking of which, does anybody know where one could find a -slightly- frilly apron that isn't sickeningly outlandish or filled with all sorts of strange patterns?  It's a lot harder than you'd think.

Since I'm living here in Nashville now, I've got a new job...I'm in retail at Target now as opposed to being with fast food.  It's a welcome change.  Very cool.

Oh, and I have slave bells I wear as an anklet now...that's pretty cool too.  Very light sound, and you probably couldn't tell it was there unless you looked or listened -very- closely.  We got it at the Ren Faire a few months back, and decided to wait until I moved in to do it.

My Owner is also horribly addicted to Starcraft.  This is going to be FUN!

Jewel, You are surely blessed in having Twice in the family ... and I do hope that the new girl works out too! Fingers crossed!

For Myself ... well as D/s goes, the sub I was chatting to for so long has fallen by the wayside of it being too difficult for him to come for a visit, let alone relocate. So that is a disappointment! However, one I have only exchanged a couple of msgs with is moving to about 40km from here this month, so I hope he will resume contact once he is settled in so I can see where that leads! Hope springs eternal in these jugs

Healthwise, hmmm, not so good. Not sure how or why, but I developed a massive abscess in My left armpit. I mean massive, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and half inch high. Excruciatingly painful. Dr prescribed antibiotics but didn't want to touch it ... however, it eventually opened on its own and spent the next 2 weeks spitting cottage cheese-like pus at poor Master, who took on the job of treating it daily! Brave Man, esp as He can be a bit squeamish at times (He likes pimples but this was more than He wanted LOL!). Luckily He wears glasses as He needed the eye protection! No sooner did that go down when I managed to put My back out. I don't recall doing so, but the chiropractor reckons I sat down too hard on the left side while twisting, so best bet was when getting into the car. While it is a bit better, it will need another adjustment, and Master has been busy giving Me twice daily massages with a wonderful healing oil ... except it's got lavender in it which makes Him sneeze! Omg, I am so lucky to have Him! So have been in the spare room so long We've both started to call it "My room!" shock horror! But it's been the only way for Us both to get to sleep firstly with My arm sticking out and now a set of pillows to support My back!

Workwise, Master is going well with His job, though the poor Man got an attack of gout (He doesn't drink alcohol and is allergic to seafood so He's just very very unlucky!), fortunately the meds have got that under control. I am so proud of Him, it has been a long time since He has been employed (as opposed to trying to create work for Himself) and He has made the transition very well. I wrote about 100 test questions for an overseas education project, waiting to see how many have been accepted, the $$ will be very useful. Also put in an application for a lecturing position starting at the local Uni next year, so am hoping! Only been just over a week since it closed and Unis tend to be slow, but I would hope for an interview as I met all the selection criteria well. That would definitely make lives much easier here. Not had many gigs as it's winter here and too cold for outside venues, though had one inside a BIG hotel which went very well (and they've rebooked Us). Am enjoying belting out classic rock songs! Also currently scrapbooking for money, I did the first daughter's wedding album for the client and now I've nearly finished the second daughter's album. It's a big responsibility but also very satisfying. The first one was a "3-Kleenex" experience when I showed it to her, so I'd better have some more on hand this time!

And now I will have square eyes from watching the Olympics ... great to be in a similar timezone so it's on through the days ... I just love watching that which I was never able to do LOL! Come on Aussie come on!
