It has been my experience that everyone, to some extent, is trainable. Even a dominant personality can be given patterns of learned behavior. If one has a steady enough hand, and the right mindset they can command even the most difficult cases. It boils down to ego. Someone with the right mindset and a strong enough self could dominate just about anyone, given time and opportunity. History's sheep may have a high volume of self-defeating idiots, but a good number of some truly strong people have found themselves obeying the whims of a questionable but charismatic leader. If someone says you are untrainable, I'd hazard a guess and say what they should really be saying is a variance on "I'm incompetent and/or lazy" or in the case of the mostly competent, "Yours is a spirit that I can not mold."
