BrokenSaint -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 5:05:20 AM)

It really depends. Ideally one wants all three I'd think. At least I do. Though sometimes elements are there where you don't get all 3. They're like all things. Always in flux, shifting and changing with the flow of events.

That being said I usually start relationships on a very low key basis. Where I get to know the person a fair bit before any of those even comes up. It puts some people off, as I might go out with them and make no particular advances, but I'd always much rather get to know the individual before those things rear their head and make things substantially more complicated. Then too, with a worst case scenario you end up with a new friend, best case you find you have all of those things in that person. Kind of a win/win situation.

Getting more back to the original question though I'd have to say in-between. Sometimes they aren't all there, but ideally they're inclusive.

I'm a pretty passionate person in general.  Lust, well I'm pretty lustful.  I have an appeitite for passionate, lustful sexual moments.  I also have a passion and lust for being near water, standing on a beach watching the waves, listening to the waves, feeling the breeze on my skin, smelling the air.  Things that fire off all my senses.

In fact I try to capture memories, like Kodak moments in soul.

Every relationship I have ever been in, I have captured some moment in my mind.

Lust, Passion, and Sex.  Yes... along with sensual, painful, dark, and even moments of laughter and humor.

Owner,

Now personally I can relate to your thoughts as a mirrow of my own.

A the sounds of sleepy sighs while drifting to sleep together after having shared an experience together.  Waking up and they are near.

Lust, pass, Passion, yes, and Sex, sometimes.

I say sometimes because it's usually there, in the background, or on the edges.  In private, sexual elements will be brought in, which can sort of deaden the sex element for my headspace.  But, there are some scenes when it's *all* about something else (S&M springs to mind), and one relationship I have where it is purely platonic, revolving around fetching wardrobes and things of that nature, there's passion in that, but no sex.

Ivy,

Well then it appears that they can be mutually exclusive for you; now that is mind control.

CP

I guess that's becasue sex is pretty much purely a physical act.  Like breathing, or scratching my nose.  Sometimes, my nose really itches, and then I want to scratch it, but mostly, my nose is just my nose and not itchy.  In some ways, my nose being itchy and wanting to scratch it is a more pleasurable sensation/feeling that actually following through and scratching.

Lust is a feeling, I guess.  I can't really define it, because I've never really felt it.  I've felt cravings, but, I've never seen someone and wanted to jump their bones.  Or gone to bed at night and woken up in the morning with the last and first thoughts being "I need that person, physically".

Passion is an energy, a buzz, something that burns inside, and in the connection between me and my partner.  That's always there, however strongly, because there is always some sort of connection between me and the person I'm playing with.  Obviously, the more it burns, the more intensely, the better.

Does that make sense?

Ivy,

it indeed makes sense, but is there any chance for inclusion or exclusion amoung them as related to each other?

CP

IvyMorgan -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 11:10:13 AM)

Well, Passion is always included if it's good.  If the scene is sucking, it's usually because there's no passion or commitment there.

Sex can be included, or not included.  Playing in a club, the actual physical act is sort of ruled out most of the time (not all the time, though) but that doesn't mean there's no sexual element.  I'd guess this is the most ambiguious one, becuase it depends on what you mean by "sex" really.  In some way, it's probably always included, the variety comes under what degree and in what way and what the nature of the sex is.

I guess you'd include Lust somewhere.  I've not done so yet though.

In a relationship, I want, and live, all three.

Passion, however, is something I am in most aspects of my life.  I am passionate about my work, about my friends, about my interests, but not lustful and sexual with them.  With someone I am in love with, however, lust and passion come with the package.

It has been years since I have participated in casual sex.  I don't know if I will again.  If I do, then to do so without passion and lust would likely be boring for me.

NV

What is with the name change? just when I get to know og you pull a change up?
On the post. who could disagree?

Because "unownedgirlie" wasn't a very appealing name to me.

DesFIP -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 11:31:46 AM)

They come and go. But for us having all three would make for a good scene since sex for us is integral to our playtime.

corsetgirl -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 1:10:14 PM)

I will take all three of the elements because I enjoy that inclusive part of a D's relationship.  Now, if I could just find the right partner to incorporate those areas, I would be one happy sub. [;)]

Well, have had lust alone -- no regrets but not something I am willing to repeat.

Have had passion -- not reciprocated -- and certainly hope to experience new heights as a submissive than I was ever able to as vanilla woman.

Sex -- every conceivable sort, emotionally.  From the utterly vaccuous to the terrifying to the transcendent to the comforting and beyond.  I cannot imagine feeling fulfilled as a submissive without *great* sex of whatever mind-numbing varieties there may yet be to come.

candy,

Well I guess that we can put you down as separate but equal//yes?

i cant see where anyone who does this for life can do so without passion. passion does not have to be something in your face, mostly it is just the fire in your soul. i do know plenty that dont factor in the lust but for myself in all my sexualness i think lust is a must.

masamiche,

Wellit would seem that there is some difference of opinion re the lust factor, but I agree it is a good thing.

yourMissTress -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 6:27:05 PM)

Lust...I want to hurt him/her...I want him/her to suffer for me

Passion...building while I create the suffering and he/she endures it

Sex...Yes, maybe even before he/she is removed from the apparatus, if I am so inclined.  Or, maybe while he/she watches me with someone else.  Or maybe just with someone else.

It all goes together for me, one follows the other, though they don't always follow with the same person.

DelightnDevotion -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 6:43:19 PM)

Well, for me, they can certainly be separated.  Heaven knows I certainly had enough sex without passion or lust during the years of my marriage (unless you count my passionate, unvoiced pleas for him to just cum already so he'll get off me and leave me alone).

But now, I'm in a D/s relationship that wonderfully incorporates all three--they are intertwined.  And I tell you surely that I will never again be in a relationship that doesn't encompass all three.

So can they be exclusive--yep.   Will they be for me--nope.

djaleksandr -> RE: Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive (8/13/2008 8:19:00 PM)

For me, there is always passion. In everything, not just kink. Though, for scenes, there's definitely gotta be lust for me, and passion. Sex is a maybe, though certainly, it works best with the Holy Trinity. [;)]

All three terms can be applied to me in my D/s relationship.  I love the 'must have it/gotta have it' lusty feelings for my Dom that go along with the passion and sex, and I love how he controls my lust, giving what he desires, not what I feel that I need.

I believe my Dom has less of the lust feelings, some of the sexual and a lot of the passion.  He is a quietly intense passionate person - I see it in his eyes when he is really in the moment with me.  I'd almost say that it was lust, but it's not of a sexual nature, so that's not right.  But his eyes fairly burn with emotion, which I've never seen before.

more.

It certainly sounds like you tied into a very intense dominant.

Lust, passion, sex - inclusive.   I want all.   I'm passionate about every relationship I have (D/s, family, friends, work-related, etc.).  I'm passionate about my work, my home, my yard, my hobbies, everything I do and am involved with.   Lust is that deep, dark, hunger and desire sparked by my Dom, that can fulfilled with sex or a very intense scene with Him.     Sex can be had without the lust and passion, but it's just sex.    Add lust and passion and you've got "have to have it sex".

kallisto,

Damn girl, it appears that your spot on!

[sm=hello.gif]
For me ..[sm=imnewhere.gif] since I am married but it is not a quote"vanilla" marriage and my role within that context between he and I is quite different from what I would have from playmates/subs I would enjoy time with, we have set parameters on this. Since I am Dom for the most part ... to me to preserve what I consider to be the most important relationship I asked my husband what he would and would not be comfortable with. I can say at the start we have played together with a dear friend of ours but that was a "love" thing and not a swing thing because for us it wouldn't be with anyone else. I can't see that happening to be outside of a deep friend ship so because of that I didn't click on the Polylife either because,it just wouldn't work in our dynamic.[sm=2cents.gif]
It isn't just my body as in Lust that that I bring into a bed with someone, it's my entire being, it's the way I'm wired. I have learned that for myself those kind of behaviors are self destuctive for myself; because of that and since I have that marriage relationship, in my "BDSM Dom" role outside of my home, I won't indulge in actual intercourse with any partner nor with out my husband knowing full well with whom and when all activity is taking place.
He meets them on the first date along with me and approves or denies with my decision to let it go further than that. It is just one of the "Love" "Passion" aspects I am keeping for my own home and bedroom. He is into playing too but with him he isn't quite ready to go on the out for anything else other than just he and I.
And speaking of Love.Lust,Passion.., I have something I wrte several years ago that I am working on getting published together with other work.

My current relationship does not include sex - I cannot distinguish sex and love and I simply don't have time for an entanglement of that sort. I am a service sub. I serve. He and I are attracted to each other and the tension, at times (and abstinence) is lustful and passionate, which works really well for me. I am passionate about his work. I am passionate about serving him well. I am passionately his sub.
