Please no dictionary quotes here, we all are aware that the above represents an adjective, noun or verb!
The point to ponder is this; are the above "terms" and what they describe incluse with each orther, mutually exclusive or somewhere inbetween as they are applied to your D/s relationship?

Since this thread is generic and applies well to both sides of the slash I hope we see some "D"'s partisipating as well as the "s"s.

For me, lust, passion and sex are not included in our D/s relationship but for her, they are.  She registers being controlled with a sexual thrill while I register controlling her more as love/being loved.  It's not quite that black and white, but in broad brush strokes, that's how it is in our living room.

Or, if you meant our overall relationship which has now taken on a D/s flavor, then yes, sexuality is a key component of my relationship with my wife.

Lust, pass, Passion, yes, and Sex, sometimes.

I say sometimes because it's usually there, in the background, or on the edges.  In private, sexual elements will be brought in, which can sort of deaden the sex element for my headspace.  But, there are some scenes when it's *all* about something else (S&M springs to mind), and one relationship I have where it is purely platonic, revolving around fetching wardrobes and things of that nature, there's passion in that, but no sex.

Lust, passion, sex

in my perfect D/s relationship i would like to have all three.  Lust not so much, for me it implies a sexual desire within that is out of control.   Passion can be for anything and i hope i never loose my passion for life and how i see the world, if i do a part of me dies.  Sex is how i connect with those i love, it's a bonding experience, it's enjoyable and satisfying, it's fun...... i hope to have that in my next committed relationship. i didn't in my last long term one and i wasn't very happy.  i can seperate D/s and sex with partners, but if i ever commit again it would  be important for me to find someone compatible with the same needs.

Lust, Passion, Sex / inclusive or exclusive

Hmm...had to think a bit about that one. Lust i can feel deep down - when the hunger is so big - nothing else matters - passion i have in everything i do - i hurt just as intensely as i enjoy the warm and happy sides of D/s - almost no pun intended here..lol..sex is a very important side of me - and i feel so very alive then. Perfect releationship would be a dash of lust - 10%, and 50% passion - 40% sex..passion always has to be the strongest - at least for me - to drive me further.

On the other hand - a good and hard scene - pain involved as in flogging - clamps etc...i might get turned on because of the sweet use - and hunger for release. i will be utterly grateful if i am made to release or allowed to - to take the bite out of the pain i have been through - and i can be just as happy without the sex/f*ck part now and then also - if that makes any sense? But - one thing i know is important to me - and not always easy to handle, is the need to give back what i get. if i have been allowed to release, i so very much want to use my passion and give that back to the Dom. Not always possible - not all Doms want that, and some scenes are mainly SM - no (penetrating kind of) sex involved - just the very strong and intense play between a Dom and a submissive...sexual atmosphere is always present when i play - because submitting is hitting my deepest core and i surrender to the Dominant. Man....this was not easy to answer with a short post....*L*...and i am not sure i made much sense...hmmm...

Ivy,

Well then it appears that they can be mutually exclusive for you; now that is mind control.

I'm a pretty passionate person in general.  Lust, well I'm pretty lustful.  I have an appeitite for passionate, lustful sexual moments.  I also have a passion and lust for being near water, standing on a beach watching the waves, listening to the waves, feeling the breeze on my skin, smelling the air.  Things that fire off all my senses.

In fact I try to capture memories, like Kodak moments in soul.

Every relationship I have ever been in, I have captured some moment in my mind.

Lust, Passion, and Sex.  Yes... along with sensual, painful, dark, and even moments of laughter and humor.

A the sounds of sleepy sighs while drifting to sleep together after having shared an experience together.  Waking up and they are near.

I guess that's becasue sex is pretty much purely a physical act.  Like breathing, or scratching my nose.  Sometimes, my nose really itches, and then I want to scratch it, but mostly, my nose is just my nose and not itchy.  In some ways, my nose being itchy and wanting to scratch it is a more pleasurable sensation/feeling that actually following through and scratching.

Lust is a feeling, I guess.  I can't really define it, because I've never really felt it.  I've felt cravings, but, I've never seen someone and wanted to jump their bones.  Or gone to bed at night and woken up in the morning with the last and first thoughts being "I need that person, physically".

Passion is an energy, a buzz, something that burns inside, and in the connection between me and my partner.  That's always there, however strongly, because there is always some sort of connection between me and the person I'm playing with.  Obviously, the more it burns, the more intensely, the better.

Does that make sense?

In a relationship, I want, and live, all three.

Passion, however, is something I am in most aspects of my life.  I am passionate about my work, about my friends, about my interests, but not lustful and sexual with them.  With someone I am in love with, however, lust and passion come with the package.

It has been years since I have participated in casual sex.  I don't know if I will again.  If I do, then to do so without passion and lust would likely be boring for me.

All three for me!  If not its not really a relationship... or maybe it would be for a very short period of time.  If I dont get all three from it... I dont want it.

Well, have had lust alone -- no regrets but not something I am willing to repeat.

Have had passion -- not reciprocated -- and certainly hope to experience new heights as a submissive than I was ever able to as vanilla woman.

Sex -- every conceivable sort, emotionally.  From the utterly vaccuous to the terrifying to the transcendent to the comforting and beyond.  I cannot imagine feeling fulfilled as a submissive without *great* sex of whatever mind-numbing varieties there may yet be to come.

i cant see where anyone who does this for life can do so without passion. passion does not have to be something in your face, mostly it is just the fire in your soul. i do know plenty that dont factor in the lust but for myself in all my sexualness i think lust is a must.

All three terms can be applied to me in my D/s relationship.  I love the 'must have it/gotta have it' lusty feelings for my Dom that go along with the passion and sex, and I love how he controls my lust, giving what he desires, not what I feel that I need.

I believe my Dom has less of the lust feelings, some of the sexual and a lot of the passion.  He is a quietly intense passionate person - I see it in his eyes when he is really in the moment with me.  I'd almost say that it was lust, but it's not of a sexual nature, so that's not right.  But his eyes fairly burn with emotion, which I've never seen before.

Lust, passion, sex - inclusive.   I want all.   I'm passionate about every relationship I have (D/s, family, friends, work-related, etc.).  I'm passionate about my work, my home, my yard, my hobbies, everything I do and am involved with.   Lust is that deep, dark, hunger and desire sparked by my Dom, that can fulfilled with sex or a very intense scene with Him.     Sex can be had without the lust and passion, but it's just sex.    Add lust and passion and you've got "have to have it sex".

bad,

worry not as your thoughts are not as complex as you might think they are. point in fact is that you have struck on the valid essense of the D/s dynamic. Perhaps not all "D"s want that as you say, but I have never met one. The trick is letting them think they are not being given but are taking / the results are the same.

In our relationship Lust, Passion and Sex are absolutely inclusive!

For me, Passion is always a requirement because if I can't serve with passion then what's the point.  I've done without lust, I've served without sex, but always with passion.
