You may not be different, but the venues sure are. Looking in the listings in CM there are 38 men in my town with profiles here, only 9 of whom have been online in August. In the last week, men in my town have posted 70 personal ads on Craigslist. There are 6 women from my town with profiles on CM, 3 of whom have been online in Aug. I am shocked to report that in the last week there have been 184 personal ads posted by women in my area on Craigslist. These numbers do not include the "Casual Encounters" section where most ads seem to be W4M, which also really surprises me, or the "Erotic Services" section where most ads are W4M, which doesn't surprise me. I suppose that a good number of the ads could be scams or fakes, but even if we were to assume that the majority of the ads on Craigslist aren't real, that's still a HUGE difference. If I were a man looking for a woman here, I'd go to Craigslist.

Craigslist in your area is probably different. Here in the last week, 32 of the men's ads have been M4W and 180 of the women's ads were W4M (it's apparently a tough place to be a lesbian). When I look at Minneapolis, the numbers of M4W and W4M ads are about equal. In Ames IA and Merced CA there are about twice as many het women as het men posting ads, in Charleston WV and Corpus Christi TX there are about 10 times as many het women as het men posting ads. It's kind of fascinating, isn't it? Rather counterintuitive.

I met my Sir on CM - he was the first one to suggest we meet realtime. After the meet at a bookstore, I went to his house two days later and pretty much never left. Just as a qualifier - my Sir said if i ever did with any other dom what i did with him ( going to his house for second meet, no safety call set up) he would beat my butt, even if he had to come back from the dead to do it.

His point was that there are safety measures to help (duh) keep you safe. They won't ensure safety but will help. And as eager as i was to jump into this lifestyle (read sub frenzy), i could have been a little more cautious, and still achieved the desired result. If you don't know anyone in the kink lifestyle, give me an email and i will be your safety call.(i always have lots of unused minutes and free national calls)

you really can meet great people here, and go at the speed you want - uber fast or uber slow and all points inbetween) , safely. Did i say safely again? oh yeah....... that must be because "safety" is a great idea - lol.
