Status: offline 		...in case you ever go to Canada to attend a wedding and then try to drive home after five hours of sleep, and end up staring at your engine's temperature guage for an hour under a hot sun during that amazing stop and go wait for the chance to hand your license and passport over to the handsome border guard only to realize the poor man cannot read and has to ask you where you live. Yes.  It is at that moment that "ummmm" is not a good answer.  Not the answer he is looking for by any means.  The "look" was almost worth it, though.

Why didn't someone tell me the border guards on either side were pure eye candy?  What is this forum for if not to tip people off to these things.  I might have gone to Canada a lot sooner..or not..but knowledge is power.

Status: offline 		My experience was always that the CAnadian customs folks were always polite, and easy to deal with.. now, on the US side... different story..*sigh*

my car was stolen but recovered. I realized it was never taken off the hot list when the Canadian custom HAWTTIES nearly arrested us. But geez were they sweet about helping us once they knew what the situation was.

I actually heard a good story about Mounties today, they sound fabulous, but that would be a heck of a drive for me...even so, I just can't get the Dudley Dooright image or voice out of my head. <grins>

This was coming back into America and he was attractive -- just not like Thor going into Canada -- and after the searching look, he continued in a very friendly manner.  Actually, even friendlier than Thor, but was probably just trying to trip me up.  Wiley American.

I'm glad they were good to you.  I had an image flash of my car being stripped down and left to melt on the side of the road -- I have heard they just leave it torn apart although I do not know if that is an urban legend or not.  That must have been some really tense moments for you.

Status: offline 		Crossing the border can be a gas at times.  I used to live 20 minutes from it.  Hopped across every weekend when my dad was up there.  That whole "where you from" thing is taken as seriously as having receipts for any goods you have in the car.

I miss real beer.
