Well, my view is the cop was an ass, by saying that, but still that gives them no right to drive a 100 mph, in a distressed state. Again, I'd trade any of the lives of any person on this board for my dogs without a seconds hesitation, but if they were sick, and dying, I wouldn't be driving a 100 mph. I'm just not going to endanger my life, and 100's of others lives, for one life. I think if I was the cop, in that situation, I'd have loaded the dog in my police car, got the owner's drivers license, and took the dog myself, at blazing speeds. Seeing a police car is equipped with a siren, and lights, at least it's marginally safe, to speed at a 100 mph. They would have gotten a ticket though. But once I understood the situation, I'm 100% sure if I was a cop I'd immediately focus on saving the dogs life. Now, if it was a person dying, well, they'd have been there all night. LOL. kidding.
