ORIGINAL: Smith117 Of course not, we'd rather have a president who's "experience" has led to a drop from an 80% approval rating to less than 10%. One who's responsible for far more fuckups in 8 years than most other presidents. One who's trying to subvert the constitution every chance he gets, etc etc etc. I guess this is a good place to start. First, you do realize that Bush's approval ratings are higher than the Dem run congress? And the 10% number is something you grabbed out of mid air. Currently Bush has ticked back up to 33%, which is low for a president. Also Bush isn't running, as has been pointed out. Now, on to the issue of fraud. Are you suggesting that somebody voting or caucassing across party lines is fraud? I think you should recheck the laws, it is perfectly legal to do so in those states. It is however a violation of election laws and the rules of the party for out of state folks to vote or caucas in a different state. I don't think I need to mention how it was caucasses that won the primaries for Obama, and not actual votes. Hillary has stated enough about that already. How about the pacifist claims... and threats to other nations. Is my memory slipping or was it Obama that proposed invading Pakistan to go after Al Qaeda? Isn't Obama talking about a plan for Afghanistan that involves, what was the word, oh yeah SURGE. Obama is also talking in the exact same language about Russia as McCain, picture that. Now to the honesty issues... When was Obama born again, according to him it was before his parents met. Obviously, his uncle was the only American at the liberation of Auchwitz. Though those are simple mistake, let's get to the more meaty ones. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/08/barack_obama_abortion_extremis.html http://www.nrlc.org/ObamaBAIPA/Obamacoveruponbornalive.htm quote:
WASHINGTON (August 18, 2008, Noon) -- Senator Barack Obama's four-year effort to cover up his full role in killing legislation to protect born-alive survivors of abortions continues to unravel. In the most recent developments, Senator Obama himself, in a video recorded interview Saturday night with David Brody of CBN News (subsequently broadcast on both CBN and CNN), said three times that National Right to Life was "lying" in asserting that he had voted against a state bill virtually identical to the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. He did not directly address newly uncovered documents that had been released by NRLC on August 11 -- documents that proved that he had done exactly that, contradicting four years of the Obama cover story. In response, on Sunday, August 17th, we issued a challenge to Obama to either declare the newly discovered documents to be forgeries and call for an investigation of the forgery, or admit that he had misrepresented his record on the live-born infants legislation (not just once, but for four years), and apologize to those he's called liars. We don't have an apology yet. But now there is this, in a news story posted on the New York Sun website lon the evening of August 17th: "Mr. Obama appeared to misstate his position in the CBN interview on Saturday . . . [Obama's] campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate . . ." http://www.nysun.com/national/obama-facing-attacks-from-all-sides-over-abortion/84059/ So much for the honest and open candidate of hope... There are numerous other examples, like the "Cheney corporate welfare bill" you know the one that he voted for but accused McCain of voting for. McCain actually voted against the bill. Ah and finally, I guess it is going to be some really bad news for some people when they realize that McCain is leading Obama in favorability ratings according to the new Gallup and LA Times/Bloomberg polls...
