You know, with a little tweak here and there around the mouth area, they could have made him a very unique bottle opener like the stuffed dog in Scrubs. Or a coat hanger if they had placed the hands right. Or superglue a candy dish into one of his hands and put him at the entrance like those little butler cutouts you see in people's houses sometimes. But god what the Hell that IS undeniably creepy.

I actually like the concept, and I saw that yesterday, and think if somehow I do get buried, instead cremated I'd like that. Maybe have my hand out so everyone has to shake it. Or have me holding a sign that says, Why are you here?. Something. My preference really would be no funeral, I really dislike funerals, and all the fake behavior they involve, at least making everyone highly uncomfortable would be a slight bonus from the grave.

I thought it was kind of neat. It made me think of old wakes where the body remained in the parlor for a few days, people would travel to come and say goodbye. Of course it wouldn't be suitable if it were an injury/accident death, but if I looked okay after death I think I'd like to be propped in a corner 'watching' the goings on.

It's a little weird, but not really any more bizarre than the concept of the open casket with a party of sherry guzzlers chattering around it [:D].

Yea, that would be creepy. My mom used to say, she wanted to be stuffed and put in a chair with an ashtray in one hand and a candy dish in the other. That way we could bring her out at parties. Much as I loved my mom, I had to say no.

That's bizarre. What if he fell over? I prefer wakes where the casket is closed and the place is filled with tons of photos of that person enjoying life.
