Yes, well, there are lots of us who call bullshit when we see it and the post above fits nicely into the bullshit slot. Your initial post consisted of "blah, blah, blah" then a sign off. You didn't call him an attention whore or tell him to grow balls until later .. and only after someone else wrote along a similar line which certainly appears to be validation posting. And to set facts straight here .. when you called Michael an attention whore and told him to grow some balls and when you wrote that the thread was full of ass kissers .. you weren't replying to a post directed at you .. you replied to a post someone else wrote in regard to the OP that mirrored thoughts you hadn't bothered to post (for whatever reason) .. then the shit rolled down hill from there. As I recall, your 'blah, blah, blah' post didn't generate a single response.
As for not intending a threadjacking .. such is certainly belied by the "7000" posts crack.
Prevarication rarely looks good on an adult much less one who "personally prefer Gor, what i believe to be, a stricter protocol driven no nonsense way of life."
Nonsense has infiltrated many of your posts in this thread so you might want to rethink that philosophy. You've written well in the past and with thoughtful consideration so in addition, you might want to give some thought to doing what worked and leaving off the bullshit. Unless you have some form of MPD, it's quite a contradiction of styles.
FC, I'll have to disagree with your assessment as well. I read through Michael's post again and no where did he say he was an attention whore nor that he was leaving to go grow a set of balls. A man who has determined he needs to reflect internally and seeks a different path to find himself and who further is open and honest enough to admit it ... already has balls. It's Michael's honesty and openess that have driven many of us to wish him well and I think he's also open and honest enough to be aware of the fact that his presence will be missed and wondered about given that he has posted often of his life in ways which have helped some people at least reflect on certain subjects and aspects of their own lives. Obviously, MMV on that subject and you're entitled to your interpretation.

familiar posters that disppears who might not be on your fav to email list out of the blue always make me wonder if something horrible (as death, illness another such critical thing happened) I rather see it was by choice or the reason. I have an unusual morbid way of thinking about disappearees. I might not love and lick em goodbye to death, or have a yay this person is gone happy dance, I just curious by nature.
