Read up on why he stated that in an interview in '99, and the quote that proceeded it "I'd love to see a point where it is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary," Where is the example of political expediancy? Since you yourself suggested you would have voted for him in 2000 against Gore.... isn't that the point at which you are suggesting he flip flopped? Why is this relevant now?

His quaifying remark doesn't change the fact he clearly stated he was opposed to appealing abortion rights and now supports the very same thing so he can curry the favor of the religious right. The point at which he flip-flopped came when he launched his latest presidential bid and realized he could not win without kissing some serious conservative ass. The moderate, independent John McCain of 2000 and even 2004 has given way to someone I find hard to believe is the same person. This is a man who now changes his position on any and every issue based not on his beliefs but on how it will benefit his chances at the polls.

Congress authorized the use of force. There is a huge difference. Now, I know that most of my right-wing brethren were not conscious during those days, but I was. The entire premise was the (non-existent) WMDs. COlin Powell was not sent to the UN to babble about how bad Saddam was. He had a whole PowerPoint (tm) presentation of falsified "intelligence" that claimed that there would soon be a mushroom cloud over NYC. Then they tried to justify THAT lie with the lie about "aluminum centrifuge tubes" and "yellow cake" from Africa. Then when, THAT was shown to be bullshit, the chant suddenly became "Saddam bad. Him kill many peoples. Him must go." I don't know what the ~~excuses~~ reason(s) are today; I lost my program, and the plot is so convoluted as to be unintelligable. Biden isn't going to give his opponent a moment's respite, I believe. He's an attack dog who is going to rub the electorate's collective face in the cesspool of lies the Repubs have been creating since Newt (another fuck who left his wife when she was in Hospital... is this some Republican rule or something? How despicable, but not as bad as McCain having his whores (one of whom he married) on the side after he came back from prison to his disabled wife. What a fucking dirtbag. I hope Biden is unleashed.
