You can look for any kind of Master you prefer. If you want one who is purple with green polka dots then you put that in your profile. What concerns me is why you let some online person bother you. He is NOT your Master and therefore can not tell you what you may or may not do....and that is how I would have replied to him.

Uncollared, you are you. You're technically not a slave unless and until enslaved by someone. Therefore, you have every right to ask for whatever you want. Most M/s dynamics that fail do so because the people have not been honest in their expectations, needs, demands, wants, et al. prior to commiting to the dynamic. So go for it. Make all the demands you want up front. It's the best way to weed out what you don't want. Sure, you may not have 8 "doms" between now and Christmas. But when you are finally enslaved, it will have a greater probability of being a good fit. D.

So it is just fine that it is use and not used based on if they are in that role at the time. no problem. that works, good for them. For some people (perhaps like you and me), the term master or slave is more of an orientaion. I do not stop being heterosexual or homosexual if i am not in a relationship because those term identify our orientation. We use these term to identify who we are and what we feel in our hearts and soul, not what our current status is with a relationship. using the identifer of "unowned" or "collared" is what identifys us as currently being in a relationship or not. you are fine using the term slave if you feel you deserve it.. Now that brings up a whole new can of worms... if you identify as a master or slave, people will assume, expect a level of behavior. the problem is sorting out WHOSE level you will live up to.. and the reality is it has to be your choice.. not some unintelligent HNG who says you have no rights since you use the term 'slave'.. but your choice in what level of behaviors you will live up to. you choose your partner, your groups, your friends, your leatherfamily, your clubs, all based on your own code of ethics. This crap about "you are not a slave unless you are owned" rather shows that some people put more importance on apperance than on substance. Wether I Own a girl at this precise time or not doesn't change who nor what I am, it doesn't change how I am WIRED. I am wired to be a Master, that wiring doesn't go away simply because I don't Own a girl... I may not currently be able to act on it but it is what I am. Same with a slave, if an unowned girl is labeling as slave I assume she is simply saying that is how she is wired, that is what she seeks, what she needs. What I am doing can carry different labels... Master, Dom, Top..... but what I AM only has one label, it speaks to how I am wired... I am a Master.

You don't have the right??? This is your life. These are your feelings. It is YOUR needs that you rightfully seek to meet. The only person, at this point in your life, that can define what will determine happiness for you is you. At this point in time “demand” away. If someone who claims to be Master tells you that you do not have the right it is they whom need to self examine. Only an idiot would enter such a relationship without any personal requirements at all. You have every right to require something so basic and NECESSARY as intelligence. After all, only an idiot would allow themselves to become slaves to someone lacking that basic (essential) quality. Now is the time to carefully assess all of the things that will bring you happiness in a relationship. Then when they come ‘knocking’ it would be wise to continue to require that they meet those qualifying factors to be granted the position that you seek to fill in your life. For if you do not it is likely that the end result will be dissatisfaction. I disagree, respectfully, with Focus50 regarding your status of being. Of course I meet many whom attach the definition Master to their name and often question by what qualification they have attained that definition. Number6: Get a vocabulary! The final thought that I have to share is: The difference between fantasy and reality can be vast. The beauty of fantasy is that we are entirely in control of how it plays out in our own little minds. Whom you align yourself with will absolutely determine HOW the fantasy becomes reality.
