Till now i was in service of two very loving Mistresses. From both i was separated by life circumstances. They moved where i couldn't follow them. Seeing each other was not going to work because it would have needed huge expenses in money and time, and the internet wasn't been that developed like today. Total cutoff. How do You feel about taking a slave who's already been trained and used by another Lady?

Another question is about slaves who satisfy theirselves on their own in absence of real Dominant. For example, few days ago i put a set of very hard protocols (slave is meant to make mistakes and do nothing as perfect as wanted) over myself and was *punishing* every *disobedience* with a bit of flogging. In half a day, my ass was all purple/red and black from it. If now i met Somebody who is wanting me in Her service, i would have to answer where did i get that. Would You accept slave who has such signs of self-satisfying on himself, assuming that You would do the same to the slave with the time? So, please take this particular case just as an example. It might be anything You want to do to a slave anyway but what You found on a new slave who claims not to be owned at the time.

I think it would be pretty unfair to disqualify someone for previous relationships. That would be like in the vanilla world not dating someone because they had a previous partner.

Beachcombing hm... lets consider possible language misunderstanding as it seem to be more specific than just spending vacation on the coast, which i do love. Removing. :) As for classical music, i guess not many slaves have a large opus on that field. :)

Just fine, thanks. My girl has prior experience. I find it very useful, particularly when it comes to communication. She is better able to express her likes, dislikes, needs, and desires. The level of experience an s-type has isn't a factor in whether or not I consider him/her. Other factors, such as basic compatability and mutual attraction, are far more important.

Again, not relevant. Until such time as the s-type wears my collar, I have no say in the matter. If s/he wants to go to a fetish party, get tied up and whipped, it's not my business. However, once we entered the "consideration" phase, then I would expect the sub to follow instructions. If I told him/her to refrain from "self pleasure" (define the term any way you like), then I would expect that order to be followed.

Also keep in mind that each D has His or Her own rules and needs and will train you accordingly. What you learned before to serve others may be totally thrown out out the window with a new D. There are some things which are pretty universal, so for Me, I like that someone who has been trained by someone else at least has basic protocols and manners etc in place.

I prefer experienced slaves, myself. The tend to learn faster (fewer complexes to get over, as a rule) and I invariably learn things from them.

FR: Well, there are pros and cons to the used slave. They require more maintenance, of course, and their useful life is shortened by the periods of time they were used by their prior owner(s). On the other hand, they are usually broken in. I think the final determination is that used slaves are far more economical than new slaves. The famous "showroom tax" that you pay when you drive a new slave off the slave dealer's lot is often estimated to be 40-50% of the purchase price of the slave, so used is far, far more cost effective. Yet, I am currently with a brand, spankin' new slave. She is a very sleek late model, and has had literally no really hard use before Me, and I have to say it is exhilirating to put her thru her paces. Just the other day I was thinking about how much I really enjoyed the "break in" period, and even though she was relatively more expensive for being bought new (and I might add she is a VERY desirable model so I paid pretty close to "list" for her) I really enjoy having one that is new, without any prior owners.

Doesn't matter to me, I look at the individual. My sub is an ex-master so you could say in a way he is new but not totally. I guess that makes him "slightly" used

. Either way he is mine and he is a keeper.

My lil one was very well trained by the time we meet. So yes I would. I expect more from her because she isn't new and knows more than a newbie. My boy is a newbie and while I love him it can be trying at times.

Why the hell would it matter if she had belonged to someone else before.

My new girls was. The reality is that I met her previous mistress before meeting her. It allowed me to get to know alot more about her than I would have otherwise.

I wouldn't mind a used slave. Not all slaves are novices. And I love a slave that can punish himself if I tell him to. The only requirement is the slave has to know how to obey and submit. That's it.

I think the OP has two very different questions.

The first is: Would you consider a person who was in a previous relationship?

Of course. I believe that experience +knowledge = more attractive.

The key here is can the person adjust to the differences of a new dominant?

That leads to your second embedded question: Would you consider a person who has practiced their own strict set of protocols without a dominant?

My answer here is "no" and the reason is the "strict set of protocols".

I have my rituals, my rules, my protocols but that they aren't intense and I sure as heck don't go around smacking my trainee when he/she doesn't do them perfectly -- I consider that a very sad and poor way to teach and learn.

The behavior described in the OP very very strongly suggests that he would not be able to adjust to my positive training method nor to my more laid back ownership style. With so many potentials out there why spend the time and energy on a dynamic that seems very unlikely to work well over the long term?

So, basically, You would not want to show the trainee 'how it can be done in a more proper way'?

About me, that i do a thing X doesn't mean i would not do the thing Y i.e. in this particular case both things mentioned do not have to exclude each other. And about the particular reason, i found it hot at the moment to have ass hardly punished. :) What is the better way to achieve this than to fantasize about an extremely strict Domme? :)

By the way, i politely asked not to take that particular case nor me-specific elements as relevant.to the discussion, for it relates to an abstract situation and sub/slave that was in service yet or/and was performing on his own the stuff you would perform anyway. i was just less abstract example. :)

So far i am very satisfied with the answers. Thank You again. :)

The challenge with taking on a slave who has done lots of self-play is that I ultimately feel like a mere accessory. He has his kinks, he does it his way and is apparently happy to do so - so why need me in the first place? With the right sub, this can be quickly overcome. With some subs though, they have developed their own ideas of what they like and how they like it, and they don't want to deviate from that. This is easily identified in the early stages of a relationship. "Oh Mistress, this is how *I* usually do it..." -- too much of that is a bad thing.

With self bondage and self-pain I don't really care that much. I have a real pet peeve about men who are locked up in self induced chastity looking for a keyholder. I want chastity to be something that is new to them - not something they do all the time on their own, and to have a woman enforcing it is the added bonus. Again, it does depend on the sub, and I have been known to really bend over backwards if I want a guy bad enough. Let's face it, when lust and desire enter the picture, all bets are off. The only unsalvagable sub is the one who really only likes to do things his way.

I don't think you fully read my reply.

The question for me is a mismatch of desire. I don't do strict protocols so someone who has practiced that even on her/his own and desires it is not a very good match. I think I would be doing us both a grave disservice to try and "train them in a more proper way" -- there isn't a more proper way, just the way that works for them.

When those ways don't match, it doesn't make one better or worse, merely not compatible.

I wasn't specifically replying to what you say you do but to the idea that someone would practice a more strict form of protocols than I...
