Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I think they do go hand in hand on some level, but I also believe there is a difference. I think after reading your responses and thinking about this for a few days this is my opinion on it.
Using myself as an example....
In the past when I have submitted and served I did so because it fullfilled me. I made a decision to do these things and could have just as easily chose not to do them. At this point I may not truly be owned, simply serving as a selfish way of fullfilling my own desires. I think that would probably be more on a mental level.
The man that I serve now, I serve because I have to. He owns my heart and soul. I no longer have a choice, not because he says I don't, but because I'm madly in love with him and it would kill me not to serve. When someone serves this way, they are owned on a much deeper level. That would be emotional.
I don't know if that makes any sense to anyone besides me, but I thank you all for helping me answer this question.
