Well the protests are beginning, and those wishing to express their freedom of speech are gathered. I hope all is done safely, and without incident. These folks deserve to be heard, regardless of how you feel about their positions, I hope you will take time to hear the messages they are going to be shouting. I just hope one of the biggest organizers doesn't get what they are asking for via their namesake Recreate '68, in that I hope it remains peaceful. Is anybody headed out to Denver for a demonstraion, or wish they could be there? Curious minds want to know, so speak your mind. I wish you well, Thadius

They're not showing them on C-SPAN or C-SPAN2 here. I know the infotainment channels won't cover them in any depth... and I'm NOT going to Denver. That would take all day!

There is a big difference between marching across the Selma Bridge into a violent attack, as did the civil rights marchers, and lobbing a few rocks before running back to the safety of Mom's minivan like the WTO black bloc, or crudely assaulting the senses ala Westboro Baptist. I hope too hope that whatever progressive message is intended doesn't get hijacked by instigators, hate mongers, thrill seekers, and the media.

Most of the bigger marches and demonstrations are going to start tomorrow and run throughout the convention. I got to see some of Cindy Sheehan's speech today...

Well Ron Kovic and Ward Churchill are scheduled to make appearances and speeches as part of the march tomorrow from the capital to the Pepsi center.

One group is protesting... Sunday - End All Occupations at Home and Abroad Monday - Human Rights/Free All Political Prisoners Tuesday - No Racism/Imperialism Wednesday - No Warming Thursday - No Borders Then you got those actually protesting the DNC... and cast of other groups. Anything and everything you can think of is going to be protested, alot due to the number of cameras and media outlets that are there.
