I thought Hillary gave a great speech!
But, she didn't give what's his name much of an endorsement!
The Democrats are making a HUGE mistake if they don't nominate Hillary!!!
"Obama who?"

I think no matter what she said in her speech, the GOP would have been screaming see, all she cares about is 2012, because they only hope they have is to divide the DEMS (granted this is not very hard to do),

I think the speech, (I read it did not see it) was directed at her supporters to stop whinning if I do.

I don't think it was a great speech, never heard one from her. People say it was policy support, not personal, well if it was personal, then they would be saying it's personal not policy.  In the eyes of some, you're dammed if you do, you're dammed if you don't

Well, I think the Dems are uniting ,and that is why the GOP is running ads about HC, not what McCain can do, just more attacks, it's the same old same old.

The problems is everyone's talking about what the other person can't do, instead of what they can and will do.

If you lived in Arkansas, you would be very very tired of the Clintons. They just won't go away.

No.  You could be, not necessarily would be.  We live here and aren't "tired of the Clintons" at all.  Imho, they seem to be the best AR has had to offer in recent years, frankly.  Take that as you will.

I support Obama for president though I don't dislike Hillary.  I thought her speech last night was the epitome of class and it's beyond me how anyone could see it as a speech from a "sore loser" as someone mentioned.  Just goes to show just how differently people can see/hear a single event..................luci

See I have never actually watched a US speech before (why would I really) but due to this thread i thought I would, gosh its so surreal not quite what you would expect on Prime Ministers question time.

It seems strange to me that people would refuse to vote or vote for the opposite party purely because the person they liked didnt win, surely the fundemental principles are going to be the same, also politics is full of mud slinging and bitterness the world over, Blair hated Brown and vice versa and sure some MP's stepped down following Blair but again the basic ideas of the party remain.

I personally would much rather my PM blindly followed Obama in whatever he does than Mcain or more to the point I would rather he followed the Democrats.

Yes. And let's not forget the sabotage attempts. It's absolutely mind boggling to see so much bullshit flying around at such a crucial time.

Luci, I was raised in Ar.  I have to agree with Simpleslave101.  Too many years of the Clintons has worn on too many in this state.  The fact that Billary took the state's primary is a testament to how few people cared to get out and vote most likely.  I only realized it was primary day becaus they put it on the radio and in the papers.  There were no huge lines to vote around here.  It was as if everyone was apathetic about the whole thing around here.

And both Kitten and Alumbrado are right about the need to delude oneself about the other side.  What is worse is the need to lead others into believing your delusions.  That is what runs politics.

So true.

Some act like this is a horse race or ball game,with little consequence over who wins/loses.

This election could easily be described as choice between another term of Bush policy(or worse) and a clear change in direction, on the major issues.

The republics are never going to say anything positive about Hillary and I don`t expect they ever will.Saying she`s selfish and only in this for herself,that she dosen`t care about the election but rather only for her own ambition,is a reflection of how republicans think,not Hillary.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hillary gave one of her best speeches to date and said what needed to be said.
Her speech was aimed at the right folks(undecideds and indies) and with them,,she connected and made her points.
Good job Hillary.
Psssst,Hillary,...... I think Popeye is smitten with you.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend". She embraced Obama because look at the alternative, John W. Mc Bush. It's too horrible to contemplate. Conservatives create a crisis then claim they're the only qualified ones to fix it. All the while they're privatizing the profit centers [defense] socializing then underfunding the humaitarian centers so they can claim "Government doesn't work."
What exactly is that clear change?  And when is Obama going to provide the details?
Hardly.  I'm waiting for Obama to flesh out his "Blueprint for Change" with some actual specifics.  He does a great job of saying what he wants.  When will he pony up the plan on how to get there?
If you listen to Hillary speech and paid attention to it.  She only referres to Obama as "My Candidate" nothing as to his qualifications.  She makes many referrences to a Democrate President being the only one who will do something the war (remember she voted for it).  She even plugs her husband on his presidency for fighting terrorists and keeping jobs in the US.  This guy signed the National Trade Agreement, both Bill and Hillary have claimed this as a major accomplishment and America lost jobs on it.  Bill pardon many of the old Weatherman who were imprisoned for bombings and to help get Hillary elected pardon Puetro Rican Terrorists, some planed to bomb the World Trade Center.  Experts on Terrorist believe Bills action conviced Bin Laden that an attack of large scale on America could be done, and if anything went wrong deals could be made.
Hillary Delegates are still calling for a Hillary Roll Call, some of them are walking around the floor with gags in their months symbolizing they still will not support Obama.   The only good new is National Chairman Howard Dean now states "There is not a unity problem"...yeah right...
Maybe you should try reading it. It contains lots of very specific proposals.
Why? If he did that, he wouldn't be able to keep parroting "no plan! no plan!"
I did read it.  If that's what Obama calls a plan then he's proven his inadequacy.  Long on words, short on details.
I liked and still like Hillary Clinton. I dont feel much love for Obama. Im now an undecided Democrate. I might even vote republican. I cant say yet. Or I'll be a disgruntled Democrate and vote Democratic.
It was Bill Clinton who killed off any zest I had for politics. He seemed like a moderate Republican to me and passed bills that made me feel terrible about this country and where we were headed. And my fears were justified as I watched us move to where we are today. Its not only the Republicans that made the mess we're in. It goes back further.
Sophia, true, look at that monstrosity called "NAFTA!"
No-one even wants to talk about it anymore, it's "Political Poisin."
I think Obama said it needs to be "looked at again."
No, it doesn't need to be "looked at", it needs to be crushed like a bug under my size 12 boot!
