Stop looking at why things can't be done, and promote ways that things can be done. Set goals, and benchmarks to accomplish the goals. Inspire the citizens of this country that we, the people, can accomplish whatever we set our minds to, and thrive and succeed in the process. Energy independence, and clean energy can be accomplished. Obstacles to development would be removed. This would improve the economy. Incentives to keep jobs and businesses within the country would be established. This would improve the economy. Reclaim our pride in innovation and development. Never be embarassed at ingenuity nor punish it, but savor and reward it. This is most likely why i will never be president, but it is the kind of inspiration and kick in the pants that the US needs.

1. I'd forego all the "special powers" afforded to President Bush, and roll them all back to pre 9/11 levels. Thus, restoring the US Constitution. 2. I would kill any ammendments designed to take rights away from people based on orientation. 3. Begin a crash program in developing nuclear fusion, with a goal of having the first fusion power plant operating within ten years. I'd also push solar, wind, geothermal, tidal and biofuel research, coupled with tech to bring the electric car into a viable reality. 4. Work with the Supreme Court to establish precedent that would help insure the individual Americans' rights to privacy, and freedom of sexual expression. 5. I would immediately ask Midori to be my chief of staff. 6. I would also send out an envoy composed of Celticlord, Thadius and Al... to Antarctica, for the duration of my 8 years in office.

I would instantly move to make the new government a monarchy, before they realized their mistake (I like job security). Then I would make my list.

7. I would immediately cancel the "faith based initiative" programs. 8. I would adopt something similar to the Obama tax plan. 9. I'd offer tax incentives to coperations that kept their workforce here in the US. 10. I'd increase trade tariffs, to make buying American made much more attractive... and force assholes like Wal-Mart to buy American made products. 11. I would cut military spending, and instead, keep much of the "military industrial complex" busy with NASA... getting us a lunar base, (mining helium 3, to supply the aforementioned fusion plants) and working internationally for a series of manned missions to Mars and beyond. 12. I'd liketo just outlaw religion... but I doubt that would fly... so I'll just ban it from classrooms. Period. No ID, no creationisim, no classes in "comparative religions" if parents want their kids to learn to be blind, superstitous fools, they can send them to church... where that sort of thing is SUPPOSED to take place. The penalty for not doing so: that church loses it's tax exempt status for 50 years. (Since it's wanting to be a scientific research foundation, and not a religion, I think that would be fair.)

I would be almost just like Archer in my plan but I would add this. I would demand that a different tax plan such as a flat tax or a national sales tax be put into place and disband the IRS. The money wasted by that organization could be put into programs that really deserve it. The personnel could also be shifted to doing worthwhile pursuits. There would be no such crime as tax evasion if you paid tax whenever you bought something.

VAT taxes in other nations, roughly equivalent to a national sales tax, average about a 20% evasion rate.

Cut foreign aid by 50%, followed by further 10% reductions each year that follows until the free loaders are weaned. Eliminate half of the government, with a stern warning to the half remaining that if they screw around and continue to waste money, they're gone too. Audit each and every govenment agency. Any who cannot account for wasteful spending or lack of success on whatever program they administer, remove them and prosecute if necessary. Increase wages to the military by 100%, as well as increasing spending and infrastructure to the military as a whole. Do what is necessary to totally secure the borders. As illegals are found, they will be deported. Do away with the tax system as it is now and replace it with a national sales tax. At the same time eliminate the criminal enforcement section of the IRS and destroy all the financial records they keep. Eliminate all taxes on Corporations, they will pay plenty into the system via the sales tax on items they need to run their businessess. Nominate Federal Judges who are not interested in legislating from the bench. Their job is to interpret the law, not make it. Nominate Supreme Court Justices who are interested in what the Constitution actually has to say, not what they might think it says. Re-insate the notion of States Rights, and eliminate any and all legislation that defies this.

We cannot have an exchange of differing viewpoints in this country. What would that lead to? I am guessing we would have all who disagree institutionalized for mental health issues.
